Tore his ACL and MCL today. :(

This is absolutely DEVASTATING news for the Patriots next week in the playoffs, and on a much lesser level fantasy football. With as much as he cuts, etc. and due to the fact that he did it in Week 17, he more than likely will be out until at least Week 7 next year (PUP), and I wouldn't be shocked if he is out for the entire 2010 season.

Tough break for someone who I think ALL fantasy owners respect immensely. :(

Tough break for Welker pound for pound the best player in the NFL.It also gives Eldelman a lot of fantasy value going into the playoffs.

Like everyone, I feel terrible for Welker. But for the Pats, I think Edelman might supply the same firepower, begging the question, "How much of a SYSTEM receiver is Welker?". I mean, he wasn't anything special in Miami. But w/ Moss on the field, he's now always open. Edelman caught 10 balls today.

I still wouldn't underestimate the Pats this post-season. And my heart goes out to Welker.

"He's UN-COVERABLE"

I still have yet to hear a quote like that re: Edelman.

Why play Peyton Manning AT ALL???

Is this a livestock show?

If you are planning on benching him...bench him.

This will now be held as the golden example as to why teams who have clinched should not play to win anymore.

Witness this wonderful Sunday Night game we're being treated to. I feel badly for Welker, but I also think this sucks for football, period.

And it's terrible for fantasy going forward, too.
