Proposal: League Playoffs
In each league at the end of 13 weeks:
If one team has the best record AND the most points, they win the 1st place league prize (let’s say $5,000). The team with the 2nd most points wins the 2nd place league prize ($2,000), and the team with the 3rd most points wins the 3rd place league prize ($550)

If one team does NOT have BOTH the best record AND the most points, the team with the best record and the remaining team with the most points advance to a three week league championship playoff (weeks 14-16). Both teams add their avg weekly score from the first 13 weeks of the season to the scores of their three week playoff. The team with the most points after week 16 is crowned the league champ ($5,000). The team that loses the playoff finishes in 2nd place ($2,000). 3rd place ($550) is given to the team (that didn’t make the league playoffs) with the most points scored in the first 13 weeks of the season.

Benefit: This would ensure that both the best record and the team with the most points get a fair chance at the league title.

Proposal: Overall Playoffs
In each league at the end of 13 weeks:
The team with the best record and the remaining team with the most points advance to a three week overall playoff (weeks 14-16).

In addition, any team that scored in the top 10% in overall points for all teams (through the first 13 weeks of the season) AND didn’t advance to the overall playoffs (by way of their league standings) would be granted a wildcard berth into the overall playoffs.

Benefit: This would ensure that top scoring/deserving teams make the overall playoffs. Also helps reduce the effects of “luck” (random scheduling & deadbeat owners).

Playoff of points versus record... BRILLIANT, wish I thought of that.

I don't agree with the carryover. That implies points is better than record. Just a straight up playoff.

Take the top 2 teams in the lge and have them fight it out h2h, best 2 out of 3, over the next 3 wks. A more exciting and appropriate finish for a h2h league.

For an overall prize you can't get around using points, but for the lge championship you can. Keep that a h2h battle to the end.

if the top record team is not the top points team, then it can be disputed which team is really the best (and most deserving of the league prize). hence, the three week playoff.

I like the overall playoff proposal.

Don't like the idea of taking a weekly avg. into a battle for the league title. It takes my hard earned 90 pt. lead and reduces it to 6.9

If I'm battling the same team I've battled for 13 weeks I want carry over.

Just a minor tweek. Everything else looks ok.
