Michael Treffiletti Wins $100,000 Classic Prize

CONGRATULATIONS to Michael Treffiletti of Moreau, New York for winning our 8th annual NFFC Classic overall title and the $100,000 grand prize that comes with it. Michael won New York League 1 this year and then went on to beat 60 other team in the Championship Round with 653.1 points. CONGRATS MICHAEL.

Michael and his brother Joe -- who finished third overall -- have been with the NFFC the entire way. In fact, Joe and Jules McLean are the only owners in NFFC history to win four Classic League titles. Joe just won his fourth Classic league title this weekend, but he came up short in his battle with Michael to win the overall title. George Melbrod finished second overall, jumping from 25th to 2nd thanks to the combination of Aaron Rodgers and Jordy Nelson on Sunday Night.

Amazingly, this Classic league was the only NFFC contest that Michael competed in this year. One league. One title. $105,000 later on a $1,400 entry fee. You've gotta like it.

Michael won by 27.27 points despite getting 0 points from QB Tony Romo in Week 16. Now that's some work. Great job again Michael.

Michael's biggest free agent pickup occurred on Sept. 23rd when he cut Randy Moss and purchased Victor Cruz for $86. In a New York league, nobody else bid higher. He also picked up David Akers on Oct. 28th and Brandon LaFell on Oct. 21st. Adding Seattle's defense for $111 on Nov. 23rd helped, too.
