$150 Draft Champions League 1 Is SOLD OUT
Posted: Tue Apr 17, 2012 3:26 am
The NFFC Draft Room will be live once all NFL Rookies have been assigned a Player ID with their new NFL teams, so we'll be able to draft as early as Tuesday, May 1st if the interest is there. The one contest that will be available for drafting at that time is the NFFC Draft Champions National Championship and today we'll start a signup list for anyone who wants to be the first to start drafting.
We will open the signups for the $150 Draft Champions League where owners get 8 hours to make a pick and the drafts consist of 14 teams and 30 rounds. These are what we called Slow Drafts in the past and each owner has 8 hours per pick so that you're not tied to your computer for this league. After you are done drafting, there is no additional work involved as the computer picks your optimal starting lineup through 16 weeks and the team with the most points after Week 16 wins the league title and the overall title. There are no free agent pickups in this league; what you draft is what you have for the season.
The $150 Draft Champions National Championship pays Top 3 within each league this way:
1st - $950
2nd - $300
3rd - $150
$25 from each team also goes toward the overall prize pool and owners from this league and every other Draft Champions National Championship League will be eligible for these overall prizes:
First Place = $10,000
Second Place = $2,000
Third Place = $1,500
Fourth Place = $1,000
Fifth Place = $750
Sixth Place = $500
Seventh Place = $250
Eighth Place = $250
Ninth Place = $250
Tenth Place = $250
These drafts will be held from May through late August. There are obviously benefits to drafting early before all of the ADPs and Cheat Sheets are published. But of course there are also benefits to drafting later in the off-season when more is known about all players and before injuries affect the rankings. We'll let you make the call on when is best for your skills, but we will continue to offer these drafts during the next four months and run them as soon as they fill. Registration will go live early next week and we'll get everyone signed up and their KDS preferences set before launching the first draft.
If you want to participate in the first NFFC Draft Champions National Championship League, just email me at [email protected] or post your name on this thread. We'll manually update the signup list and get everyone signed up next week. We'll start the league on Tuesday, May 1st or whenever we get 14 teams after that date. All of these leagues will start once they are full, so be ready to draft if you sign up for this contest. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!! Thanks all.
