Several people have emailed and PM’ed me asking for an update on the Ultimate League, so I thought I’d go ahead and post the most recent playoff results. For those not familiar with the Ultimate League Playoff structure, it’s three weeks of H2H single elimination play. Total points DO NOT come into play over the three week playoff period.
For the record, The Professional (managed by Gino Yu) deservedly won the Regular season point total (and $5,000) with 1717.8 points. The Regular season H2H Champ (and $5,000) went to FUPayMe (managed by Brian Zeid and Jerry Sloan) with a 10-3 record. They each earned 1st Round Playoff byes.
The other four playoff teams who played in the 1st Round were:
Team Palin (managed by Mike Ward and Alan Narz) vs. Follow Me (managed by Mark Moyer)
What Me Worry (managed by Jonathan Lueth) vs. Shrink Attack (managed by Paul Clein)
Follow Me beat Team Palin 145.00 to 122.65
Shrink Attack beat What Me Worry 126.90 to 124.35 (a squeaker resulting in loose stool running down my pant leg.)
The 2nd Round (or Semi-final) results were as follows:
The Professional beating Follow Me by a score of 107.2 to 99.9
Shrink Attack beating FUPayMe by a score of 136.7 to 107.2
So this weekend, the Ultimate League Championship comes down to a H2H matchup between The Professional and Shrink Attack. The winner of this matchup gets $27,500 and the loser takes home $12,500. That’s a $15,000 difference based on one H2H matchup, a fact that I’m frankly afraid to disclose to my wife.
The winner of the Third Place game between Follow Me and FUPayMe wins $7,500.
The Championship Game pits the following two rosters against each other:

Quick-look Analysis
Quarterback—Slight advantage to Shrink Attack, mainly based on matchup
Runningback—Huge advantage to The Professional
Wide Receiver—Slight advantage to Shrink Attack
Tight End—Slight advantage to Shrink Attack
Kicker—Slight advantage to Shrink Attack
Defense—Huge advantage to The Professional
Overall, I think that The Professional has the edge in this matchup on paper due to superior RB depth, although Shrink Attack has more WR explosive potential.
I would welcome any thoughts or comments.

Paul - Good Luck and a tip with wifey - tell her you are going to win $12,500 this weekend (true either way) AND that with part of that you want to share it with her for something for both of you - I suggest a weekend away or a cruise (great deals right now) or something else she would like.
IF you happen to win more - it's a bonus, disclosed or otherwise.

The professional could not have been happy watching the pounding Romo took the other night. Especially after Tavaris Jackson threw 4 TD's in the afternoon.

Wait a minute...check that...what the hell am I thinking?
Uhm...let's go to plan B.
