Not a real big fan of the All Play format for the first two weeks of the year for the Primetime and Online Championship formats. What do you guys think? The Classic doesn't have it but those other contests do. It creates a disadvantage when you obviously cannot create your lineups based on your opponent. Oh well, I think I have a chance to win 2 all plays this week just don't like the format...

Everyone in this room is now dumber for having read that. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Since we're talking nonsense, what about that show The League? I think it's Saved by the Bell meets Saved by the Bell: The Mid-Life Crisis Years.

Talk amongst yourselves.

SS,

I"m not a big fan of the all play either but since everyone has all play I don't see it as a disadvantage. Besides if you score more points than any other team you win at least half of the prize money so it's not that big of deal.

Ok guys, really funny. It was late at night when I created this topic so give me a break

In order to clarify my post, what I meant was basically every week is an all play anyway since the 2nd place winner is the team with the most total points in the league so there is really no point in having 2 all play weeks. I just like the head to head format better each and every week. Good luck everyone and Frank Gore do something tonight man I need you for my Primetime team...

Scott, other 12-team contests have 11-week regular seasons, which I've never felt was long enough for a high-stakes contest, especially with so many bye weeks involved. By adding the All-Play format the first two weeks, we now have 13-week regular seasons for the 12-team leagues. That's the basis behind it. And since All-Play is in Weeks 1 and 2 when no bye weeks are involved, the W-L format is easy and very fair. If you can't finish in the Top 6 in scoring in your league, you don't deserve a Win, unless you were begging for an easy matchup that week.

All-Play does the trick in extending the regular season in 12-team leagues and is fair for everyone in Weeks 1 and 2. But that's just my opinion. I didn't mean to influence the debate here, but I certainly wanted to explain why we do it in the 12-team formats.

when nfl goes to an 18 game season i think all-play is the only way to go for maybe the first couple weeks anyway. unless we figure out another way.

Now the key is getting a labor agreement in time for the 2011 season and the 18-game regular season that the owners want SO BADLY in place for 2012. No work stoppage is key folks, for all of us.
