... don't let the door hit your ass on your way out.

By the way ... we plan on ending your career by only letting you play on a crappy team if you insist on playing beyond what we want you to play

... and ... BTW ... please don't disrupt our team while we stick it to you. "You owe that much to the team that allowed you to play here "every game without fail for 16 straight years". Maybe if you were the 2007 NFL MVP instead of the 2007 MVP runner up ... things would be different. He's GONE!

The latest rumor is McCarthy told Favre last night that Rodgers was the starter and there would be no competition. If Favre returned, he would do so only as the backup.

A truly incredibly ridiculously stupid decision if true.

I simply cannot believe how adamant the Packers are about kicking Brett Favre to the curb. In a million years I never would have predicted this turn of events. It defies logic and common sense.

I think the fans can stop this.

It is time for Packers fans to take a stand and be heard. Do not go to practices. Do not buy their products in stores and the big one, organize a sit-out for one game. The losses inside would speak their language. They like to throw around 20 million while your ticket prices, beer and packaged crap goes up.

Packer fans UNITE! Boycott the Packers!

Thanks Tom ... apparently I have still not hit the number of Favre posts that locks me off the message board ... please warn me when I get within 3 of that number.

I hate Packer Management. I wish people would stop giving them the benefit of the doubt. They are the bad guys here. I'll be rooting for them to lose 10 games...even though with Chicago and Detroit in the division that would be almost impossible.

Packer fans UNITE! Boycott the Packers! It is really sad ... I think that Favre is done. The Packers will sit on him until the regular season starts ... cut him ... and make sure his career is over ... and ... ask him not to disrupt the team while they do it.

If I was a Packer fan ... I would be a Favre fan first ... I would rally for him to be traded to the Vikings and switch teams until TT leaves GB.

WOW ... they need to hire more PR specialists.

I cannot believe the love-fest that this guy continues to get.

His actions are no different than any other player who wants to force their demands on mangement, yet he is somehow beloved for it.

If this was T.O., Chad, even Shockey, then everybody would be all over this guy about how selfish and disruptive he is being.

I applaud GB management if they do indeed hold their ground here. It's time to move on, good riddance!

I would tell him to not report to camp just as the Raiders did with Lamont Jordan, and if a worthwhile trade presents itself so be it. If not, let him rot.

I don't recall any of those guys saying they would give 100% effort to the team to play ... and the team saying you can't compete for a spot (and he is clearly their best QB). I guess it doesn't matter that he is a clear hall of fame guy and the runner up MVP of the league last year and his only demand is a chance to play (the nerve of him).

But ... other than that ... your right ... no difference.
