8 team 2 week NFL Playoffs Private League

Jersey Dawgs (Pete L.) had a great idea over Thanksgiving to do this, and I am going to piggy back on this for the NFL playoffs.

What I was thinking was an 8 team league where you draft on THURSDAY, JANUARY 5TH (for 1/7 and 1/8 games) and THURSDAY, JANUARY 12TH (for 1/14 and 1/15 games) at 9:00 EST.

Since there are 8 NFL teams playing each week, each draft would be 10 rounds where you would draft a valid NFFC lineup....

FL

*There is NO BENCH, and what you draft is what you get. Obviously the person to take the last QB for example could wait till round 10 to take them.

*Scoring would be based on NFFC Primetime (1 PPR for everyone), and the scoring will be done by hand based off the NFL.com website.

*We WILL use 3RR & KDS

*First draft order (Playoff Week 1) will be selected randomly (maybe by someone who isn't playing?) and then it will be posted for those teams to select their position.

*The 2nd draft (Playoff Week 2) will go in REVERSE order of RESULTS of week 1. So the team who had the fewest points in week 1 gets their 1st choice draft spot, next lowest, gets their spot, etc.

The entry fee for this is $250. Since this is a 2 week contest and there will be a total of $2000 in prize money, here is the prize breakdown.....

Week 1 winner- $450
Week 2 winner- $450

Overall total points winner for BOTH weeks- $850
2nd place overall points- $250

So if you can win both weeks, you would obviously win $1750 for your $250 investment!

It's not a big investment, and the prizes aren't out of this world, but a good chance to win with only 8 people, and will certainly make the playoffs more fun!

I would prefer to have checks sent to me as soon as we have 8 people, but if everyone would rather send checks to the winners after it is over, that would work with me as well.

The final piece (unless I forgot something), is we would need a chatroom to do this in. I have ZERO experience with that, so I would need help in that department.

So that is it.....first 6 to sign up on this thread (Wayne Ellis has already confirmed) are in!

Again.....drafts on THURSDAY, JANUARY 5TH and THURSDAY, JANUARY 12TH......

i am in based upon the draft times on thursdays...after 8?? drafts shouldnt take long...an hour??

Rick,

Thursday night before each of the first 2 playoff weekends starting at 9:00.

Shouldn't take longer than an hour I would guess.
