Does this change anything or will he be down the bench behind Rudi?

Won't change a thing.

Cedric couldn't turn the corner and get outside last year in Chicago, and he won't be able to do so now. Too slow, too lazy.

It does have to make you think though.

Less than 3 weeks ago, many were on Kevin Smith because he was "the only show in town".

Days after the NFFC draft, they sign Rudi Johnson, who they obviously aren't thrilled with, or they wouldn't have signed Benson.

Detroit should have McDonald and Furrey on the field (along with Megatron and Roy) EVERY play. Oh wait...

they do that already by the 3rd quarter because they are down by 20!

You gotta believe now that the Detroit "running game" (if you want to call it that) is useless, and starting anyone from their backfield is extremely dangerous.

"Once a turd always a turd?"

Will this fable hold true?

Has one unemployed summer shown Cedric the light? Will he shed some weight and his old ways? Can he possibly compete with Rudi for playing time to steal those 3-5 carries per week from the kid?

Just maybe he comes in refreshed, healthy and focused? I could see him contributing in a few weeks possibly as the goal line/short yardage back. Detroits Pittman?

He will get picked up in every league because so many teams need a body and the hope he may bring but will he really deliver?

------------------------------------

Or does this fable refer to Millen instead?

Millen seems to be cat like in his ability to survive.

As a family member of a Ford employee, I have purchased my last 12-15 cars from this manufacturer but how can I if they continue to operate their real business in this manner.

Maybe the Ford company should ask for a Federal Bail Out for the Lions? Maybe GW could get this right? His next gig?

The latest "Millen RB Surge" definitely looks like something GW would approve of?

How does Millen continue his employment? Seriously, this guy throws away money left and right. Why do you draft a RB that high, only to bring in washed up guys to compete with him??

That franchise won't win anything for years.

the lions are garbage. starting with the owner on down. they have no offensive line so it doesn't matter who runs the ball. they make me sick.
