Guess what this thread will be about?????

Resevoir Dogs appearently decided to give up on the season about 4 weeks ago. He has been starting Mewelde Moore and Curtis Conway, plus he started Randy Moss during his well publicized inhury. Our first place team has to be the luckiest guy around, he better be thanking the heavens above. If the dogs puts in a decent lineup, he makes our league much closer. But the Dogs decided to give hiim the league championship.

I never want to hear how a team giving up doesn't hurt the league. You just give your opponents easy wins.

That works both ways too! I am in 1st place in NY6 and played (by luck of schedule) the guy who had Julius Jones this week. The guy doesn't play the first 10 weeks of the season (everyone else got a break), and I had to face him and his 27 point blow-up, he ended up scoring his weekly high - 146.!

Lucky for me, I had a great week too. I scored 179 and wrapped up NY6 yesterday! :D

Not exactly like you posted, but sometimes the better teams run into a "buzzsaw! All in all, the better teams "should" be there anyhow, but anyone who quit on this league should be banned next year (especially in this case), with no questions asked!

I agree, GG. Sounds like a good case for dumping the H2H for just point total every week. That's what's going to win the top prize anyway so it might as well determine league champion. It would solve your blocking issue too, Vegas, as teams would be making moves to better themselves pointwise instead of the week-to-week stuff.

BillyWaz -- nice promo. Your response had nothing to do with the original post (about dead teams), but I like how you got in that you clinched the league!

Actually it did as I compared it to how the opposite thing can happen also. I just mentioned me winning the league, because things normally take care of themselves and the better teams NORMALLY rise to the top.

Remind me again what the color of envy is ICojones? ;)

if i wanted to spend the time (which i may), i could really make the H2H format look silly. for business folks, let's go with inefficient.

Anything less is not good. Modified h2h is the way to go. Total pts is BS.

BW -- The color of envy is green, just like the color of the 5 grand you will win!

Oh wait -- that was a pretty bad comeback. :D

I agree, ban dead owners from the NFFC. But FF still needs to be H2H, we just need active owners. I threw out this idea in the other event. Make this an invitational event, make sure it's pretty easy to enter the first year, but if you have a dead team, you are banned for life from the event. This would make this a premier event. We accept applications, sort them out and pick and choose the best ones to join.

I know Greg didn't fill this year, but i will garentee that he will in the future. Let's weed out the losers and make this the premier event it should be.
