Draft Champions BBDS Blind Bidding Draft System

Instead of luck determining your draft pick … YOU DO!

How … Since this is a draft Champion league … 26 rounds … no team management. You bid actual season points. Whoever is willing to give up the most points … gets the pick of their choice.

Example: In a four owner league, four owners turn in the following bids (to Tom and Greg).

Draft spot Owner 1, Owner 2, Owner 3, Owner 4
1st pick 40 30 32 41
2nd pick 25 22 28 43
3rd pick 10 7 0 0
4th pick 0 0 8 0

43 is the highest bid … owner 4 would get the 2nd pick, all of the rest of his bids are no longer considered after an owner gets his draft pick assigned, owner 1 would get the 1st pick for 40, owner 3 would get the 4th pick for 8, and Owner 2 would get the 3rd pick for 7.

Pretty simple really … Most of you would be willing to give up 20 points for the first pick as it is an advantage … can you win from there if you give up 200. Can you beat the guy with the first pick if he gives you a 190 point advantage?

First BBDS draft will be Sunday August 6th at 7:00 pm ET. Free entry to the DC for first, $150 for second, $75 for third.

I'd prefer "$75 free entry to DC and 3 places" but, will play "winner take all $100 for free entry."

Guess I'm going to give about every hybrid a try. So, I'll sign up if you need another after you've sifted through GG, Billy and Co. I have no preference to $75. or $100. structure.

One question; if after all draft slots with point bids are assigned there are multiple owners with zero point bids on the remaining draft slots; how are the remaining draft slots assigned? KDS? And if so, what if multiple owners have the same KDS order? For instance, I suspect most will throw in bids for the 1st 3 slots; and its possible all slots will get a point bid, but I suspect there's also a good chance some slots won't.
