It will be interesting to see how week one scoring plays out. No teams are on bye so that factor is eliminated. Deeper rosters give obvious advantage to 12 team primetime vs 14 team classic. Running back reception scoring will always give a natural advantage to primetime over classic.
The heart of my question really comes down to the impact of having the certainty of one game that has already been played. It is safe to say that Brees, Rodgers, Jennings, Graham and even Meachem would have been starters on all classic teams that drafted them.
Jordy Nelson, James Starks and Sproles are all guys who may be on many Classic benches while they are started on most primetime teams. Devery Henderson is probably not started on a single classic team while he is a guaranteed starter on every primetime team. Guys like Ingram, Grant, Finley and Crosby will probably be primetime bench players while most would be classic starters.
All told, I would imagine that this week has the highest differential between the 2 competitions of any week this season. Does this have any bearing on either competiion? No, but it is interesting to me how the certainty of one single game can impact that which is a competition of uncertainty.
