We are making our debut in Boston this year with one full league at the Radisson Boston in downtown Boston. Here's the info for that league:

The seventh annual National Fantasy Football Championship will host live drafts for the main event on Saturday, Sept. 4th at the Radisson Boston in downtown Boston. These drafts will start promptly at 1 pm EST and consist of 1 full league of 14 teams. Everyone should be in the draft room at least 20 minutes beforehand as we will start EXACTLY at 1 pm. There will be one break after round 10 and we’ll finish after the 19th round. Lunch will be served starting at 3 pm. Good luck everyone.

Remember that this year we will again have 3RR (Third Round Reversal) in the main event. That means we’ll start out 1-14 in Round 1, 14-1 in Round 2 and 14-1 again in Round 3. Serpentine continues in Round 4 as 1-14, 14-1, etc. through Round 19.
Chicago will feature 30+ teams consisting of 2 leagues. Below is the draft order for Boston Classic League:

1. David Deterra, Jamestown, Rhode Island
2. Raj Patel, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
3. Salvatore Vella, Staten Island, New York
4. Tim Alton, Colorado Springs, Colorado (P)
5. Nelson Sousa, Saugerties, New York
6. John Hogan, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
7. Peter Varellas, Adams, Massachusetts
8. Johnny Frisella, Exter, Rhode Island
9. Joe Treffiletti, Sunrise, Florida
10. Eddie Gillis, Jamestown, Rhode Island
11. Frank Mammola, North White Plains, New York
12. Don Terminiello, Peabody, Massachusetts
13. Michael Cole, Franklin, Tennessee
14. John Rundle, Pembroke, Massachusetts

Just a heads up to everyone drafting in Boston that the NFFC Classic will be held in the Carver One room starting at 1 pm. I'm asking everyone to eat before the draft, bring any munchies or chocolates or whatever you need to get through the draft and we'll provide the soda, water and beer!! We'll then have a nice meal for everyone at 3 pm where we can all analyze the draft board, get to know each other better and put some food in our bellies. Seth Trachtman of Fanball and Todd Zola of Mastersball.com will be our hosts in Boston and will run each of the Friday and Saturday drafts.

The menu includes selection of sandwich rolls and breads, Roast Beef, Carved Ham and Turkey, cheeses, potato salad, tossed garden salad, potato chips, Chef's Selection of Desserts, coffee and decaf and more. Enjoy all.

We will have the meal after the draft so that we can hang out together, not interrupt the flow of the draft and get to know each other better. Seth and Todd can lead the discussion if folks want to talk about the draft. Should be fun.

Thanks all and good luck.

JUmped in this drat at the last minute when my buddy put of the cash to grab the last spot and needed a partner to help him with the draft.

It was a good time..but i must say that the MISSING Owner really put a damper on things..i can only guess it was handled by the rules but to not have made sure that he was available via phone at worst has to be a mistake. I would think players on other teams might not be so happy about some of the picks that were made for him. I know myself and most all of the owners at the draft were very disappointed about the situation. Other than that all went well and the draft room was quite nice indeed.

just got back. had a nice time in boston and seth and todd did a fine job in a bad situation. our phone in team ( poker player eric lindgram )did not bother to call in. how nobody had a cell number for a call in player is beyond me. todd had to do something and it was decided that he gets the highest adp player every round.well for the first few picks it was ok at best. he ended up with a mess of a team with two players on IR and a few bottom qb's to go with romo. he only has one wr playing this week. again , i do not think i am the smartest person who walks the earth but if a team is doing the draft by phone then there should be a number to reach him. his team is as follows :

qb: romo , sanchez , campbell , leinart

rb: mjd , s.green , wells , hardesty , ward ,tate

wr: s.rice , tj hous , v.jax , avery

te : celek , shockey

d : jets , pitt

k : kaeding

again , todd did what he was told to do. this team does not have ONE wr playing this week.i still dont know how a cell number was not given and just relied on him calling up. now what do we do from here as far as free agents , and each team playing this team in a fair and honest way. i dont have a solution.

I think Todd and Seth did a great job. They were put in a difficult position when an owner didn't show up. Todd needed to be objective while drafting (Erik Lingrend's) team, not Steve Alton (not perfect) but better than being subjective and selecting players he might like and then have 13 other owners yelling at him "why did you take that player?!?"

I don't have the perfect answer, but my opinion is that Fanball needs to find an owner to take control of this team before week 1 so it can be competitive all year. It would not be fair to have teams face this team early on and get an easy win, while the other teams later in the year face this team at full strength.

I would even suggest having pickups made for this team before week 1. Avery, Tate and Hardesty should be dropped right away.

Huh, i used to be a big eric lindgren fan. now that he screwed you guys over, i am no longer a fan. i assumed some of you have a couple of extra nice picks you shouldn't have had because of him.

maybe if its ok with everyone in the league an idea would be to freeze his roster and give everyone a win when you play that team. each team that plays eric's team will still submit a lineup for total points. this way his team will not outbid another team on free agents because of his disregard of the nffc. i think somethig like this is fair with a tweek here or there.

I'm sure ALL the drafters were fine playing against a team drafting players on IR. The IR guys obviously should have been skipped over, or a more recent adp used. This was a foul-up unfortunately on all counts.
