Why do 99% of the threads on this board get hijacked to a topic that is completely off the subject? We go from talking about bye weeks to the merits of picking up A. Zereoue or J. Wells. Half the threads started either end up in a flame fest or discussions about which teams in specific leagues are better. I enjoy the banter, but I could give a crap about Las Vegas or NYC league X. There is a “New Topic” button for a reason guys, try using it once in a while.

I agree, we should never, ever hijack a thread.
Hijacking threads reminds about my .1 loss in the New York Auction league when my opponent needed 1 point from Lamar Gordon and got exactly that 1 point before he went out with a dislocated shoulder. That guys win was almost hijacked.
But I'm sure we all have stories about the one that got away or almost got away.

NNOY -- sometimes conversations veer off (and end up more interesting). Why does this bother you?

Sorry, NNOY. You are correct and I will certainly work to correct my bad habit of trying to improve your threads. However, I have to agree a little bit with IC in that if your thread was interesting, it wouldn't get hijacked.

Since most of the threads I initiate end up in the 2-5 page range I would argue that they tend to be interesting to most of us on the board. However, just because one initiates a thread it does not become THEIR thread. No one OWNS a thread (expect maybe Gekko in his own mind.)

NNOY,
Since you have time to think about thread protocol am I to assume you got you lost again this week and have given up thinking about your team:)
By the way, I do plan on listening to the show. Thanks for the link.

Yep had a 40 point lead going into the late games. I have the TB D and Longwell a total of 1 f’n point for the week. The Route C had the NYJ D (18) and Elam (13.9), so I got outscored on D and K by 30.9.
I still have Blaylock going tonight and I’m only down 127.1 to 111.1 so I need a Holmes broken leg (a blown ACL will do the trick as well) and a $770 performance from Blaylock to win.
Pretty sad a team that took C-Mart in the 3rd and Roy Williams in the 8th is looking down 0-4. With S. Davis back next week to pair with C-Mart I should get back to the 125-130 point range. By the time Duece is back I’ll be out of contention for the league, but if I can keep the points gap under 150 I’ll maintain a prayer if Keyshawn can produce like Patten.
Nothing like a thread getting hijacked!
PS Thanks for listening to the show, a cool 3-0 with by NFL selections for the 2nd straight week.

How sure are you that Stephen Davis is coming back next week?

90% at least. They are in a must-win now and Foster proved over the weekend that unless they play a team without a run d (see KC) he can’t handle the load. I saw somewhere yesterday that he would play (not sure where since I spent about 10 hours watching games and surfing.)
