Anyone Up For Live Chats?

One of the successful things we did with the National Fantasy Baseball Championship was host live chats on our Message Boards prior to the signup deadline, allowing members and non-members to ask questions about the upcoming event. It allowed people to ask Tom and myself anything they wanted about the NFBC, the progress of the signups, the draft procedure and even draft strategy questions. We did it more frequently as we got closer to the deadline and it really did help everyone as we finished with 232 total signups.

Although training camps haven't opened yet, we're getting close to football season and it seems to make sense to grab our fantasy football community together a few times a week to talk football, to talk about the NFFC and to build some comraderie among our very unique family of players. When I welcome everyone to the NFFC I say, "welcome to our growing NFFC family" and I really mean that. The NFFC is going to be special because we are all creating this event together, and like a good family, we'll be fighting like cats and dogs to see which of the kids is most special!!!

I'll try to schedule some afternoon chats (maybe Wednesday, June 21st at 3 p.m. EST will be the debut) for those who can talk during business hours and we'll even do some at night. If you can't make the live chats, don't worry about it as we'll keep the threads up for all to see. You can always add to them after the live chat is finished.

Anyway, look for those to start soon as I can't hold back any longer. Are you ready for some football??? YEAH, ME TOO!!!

No, no, John, you didn't read the whole post. I said we'd have some evening chats and I'll make Tom handle those since he doesn't have to put kids to sleep!!! We'll have some evening chats to include everyone who can't do these during regular business hours! I think we'll have some lively, fun chats over the next seven weeks, so look for those soon. We'll do a couple of week and even a couple a day as we get close to the NFFC draft if we have to.

Tom Kessenich is vacationing in Las Vegas this week, but I'll gladly host a live chat on these boards around 3 p.m. EST today. Let's talk about the NFFC, about the NFL and about anything else you'd like to know from me. See ya this afternoon at 3 EST.

Where on the site do you go to do the live chats?

Greg, is there anyway that you can set up on the site an "email alert notification" for the topics so that we can be notified when someone puts up a new message? It makes it easier than having to log in and scroll through all the topics to see if anything new was posted.

The live chat will just be part of a new thread like this one. I'll respond to each question posted here. Look for the start of that new thread at 3 p.m. EST from me. You'll see how it works in no time.

I'm not sure that's possible from these boards, but I'll ask STATS to look into it. I'm not sure everyone wants to be "alerted" by our silly posts, but we'll see if we can make that optional. There is a link at the top of each thread to the left (look up here) that jumps you to new posts. It helps a little.

Actually unlike alot of other sites there isnt too much silly banter which goes on here(at least not yet) and actually all the sites i know do make it optional if you want to be alerted to the posts...
