SOLD OUT: Thursday, Sept. 8th Classic League 1

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Fri Aug 26, 2011 1:58 am

Okay, thanks to everyone who pushed a sellout of the Wednesday, Sept. 7th Classic Online League. That was amazing and it caught me off guard as I was on the road all day yesterday and didn't catch what was going on until last night. We are definitely full there and I just need to finalize one more thing there. But thanks everyone, that was great.

I know we have a long ways to go on the two other openings that were primarily done to allow more new owners who just found our contest to still get a 14-team Classic League team and combine that with their Primetime teams for TWO $100,000 grand prizes and the $75,000 cash bonus. But I think we can do it. I see a FANTASTIC league forming right now on Thursday, Sept. 8th before the Packers-Saints game and I know we can get that one filled. Heck, there's already two of our $100,000 winners in that contest -- Mark Srebro and Tom Yates -- and last year's Primetime champion -- Chad Schroeder. I know it's tough competition already, but wow, if you want to beat the best you have to play against the best. This league looks to be as good as any we've ever formed and there's still 9 spots left!! Amazing.

And the Tuesday, Sept. 7th Classic is at an ideal time of 10 pm ET for our West Coast drafters. Again, it's the last chance to get in the Classic and right now it looks like we will finish at either 252 teams or 266 teams, so your ROI is great for the Classic league. You will never get this great of an ROI on the Classic, I promise you that. ;) Get it while the getting's good!! :D

Here's the current signup list for the two remaining Classic Leagues. We need 10 owners on Tuesday and 9 on Thursday. We have plenty of time to fill these up as I think all owners understand this might take a few days to get this done. But we definitely want to get this done. Thanks all.

Kris Carroll definitely wants one more Classic team and he will take it on Sept. 6th or Sept. 8th. He's jumped into the Tuesday Classic League because it works with his schedule better. So we now have 5 owners in each one. Let's work our way down together and get both of these leagues filled. This should be fun. Thanks all.

Okay, now we're getting some love for that Sept. 8th Classic League. BIG MO is in the house and will be in Las Vegas on that Thursday for the Classic League. So far everyone is cool with 11 am, but again we can push this back slightly if needed. I'm not so sure that 2 pm Super League is going to make it, so we have time needed before the Packers-Saints game and we can lock in starting lineups for everyone before that game.

Okay, we're almost halfway there. This is like an Ultimate League!!! :D If you like competition, this is a great Classic League to jump into. What fun. Thanks all and let's keep these two going.

The Sept. 8 league is looking like a Big Hitters Convention with three Classic champs set to take part. Tom Carbone can jump in if we push the start time to 3 pm ET. Let's see where this all goes but has any league ever had three national champions competing at one time? That sounds like a winner to me.

Frank Heron is customer of the hour for grabbing Classic spots in the Sept. 6th and Sept. 8th Leagues. We now have a real good shot at closing out this Sept. 8th league more than a week in advance and getting draft spots to all of you folks by next Thursday. Like Tom said, we could have THREE $100,000 past champions in the same league. WOW, that's happened in baseball before (2010 LV) but never football. Okay, we need to keep pushing, but this looks good.
