All of us who are serious fantasy players understand that once the Miami-Pittsburgh game kicks off all the pre-draft pre-season analysis will mean nothing and the games become real. But much of the fun we enjoy with this game falls during this period of time as we near the season starting.

I am curious as to what parts of the draft board people think are best (and worst) to be on...

We all know about the coveted "big 3"... Are there any owners who wanted to be on the backend of the draft? I drew a slot right in the middle which in some ways can be good in that I wont be as vulnerable to runs as I could be being on one end of the board. But it might be bad if I can't get the player I want in the first and even second rounds and could be forced to either reach for someone I want or take someone I ideally was looking to avoid...

I am curious to hear the thoughts of others...

GLY....Wow you gave up the 4 pick for the 12?

I got my 11th choice....was the 14 pick

I honestly had the 12 pick as my last choice....

My plan was to get any of the top ten slots then the 14,13,11,12....Would rather get two studs back to back...

HEY GUYS , i guess we all agree the big 3 is the way to go.After that i would go 9,10, 11.I feel picks 4 thru 11 are pretty even, then the next group has more gambles, you could get lucky , depending on what league your in and get one of those guys with the 12th or 13th or 14th but most likly you wont. You might have to take some gambles and chances with the late picks.Hey , you can win from anywhere, GEKKO proved it two years ago winning the whole thing from the 13th pick. good luck.

Have to agree with Eddie - normally I like being in the middle of the draft, but this year I think there is an incredible amount of uncertainty in those picks, so aside from 1,2,3,4, I think 9,10,11 might be a little better.

I was not enamored in drafting from the 14 hole in the mag draft, although I did solve some riddles and if not for a mistake in later rounds might have had a winning draft.

You can win from anyplace, but absent injury luck you may need some dead money surrounding you from some of the spots.

Hook, why do you include pick 4? Pick 4 sucks along with picks 2&3. In my mind there is only a big 1 then crap.

You mean that only the RB that YOU like the best is good and then everything else sucks? Clearly getting a shot at one of the "projected" (I will give you that as the odds favor one of them NOT finishing the season that way)BIG three running backs is preferable to a lower spot and while the naysayers will come up with lots of reasons, until Tiki actually has a season that doesn't put him there, I will keep thinking he is certainly a better pick at 4 than having to guess for the next three or four picks (ps - all those guys have warts as well).

But hey if you want to trade for my #9, I will see how many cases of Corona I need to bribe Greg :D

After 2 years of picking 6th and 7th i am very happy to get my 1st choice and will be picking 3rd. Or in other words i will be letting the first 2 teams make my pick for me! wondering now if that was the right move? My thoughts were a slight drop off in talent at about 27-28 picks in. I am also pleased to not be in the same league as some of u guys like King of Queens , Eddie G , and even u Snake! I mean that respectfully guys. Though i am lookin foward to seeing all , especially your pink bandana Snake! By the way this is Midas Mike with a new name . Good luck and c u guys Saturday.

Probably a good move now if you do not have a preference for which of the 3 you get. I wouldn't have done it due to the small probability of either LJ or Alexander sustaining an injury in this weekend's preseason games. Of course LT wasn't going to get hurt unless he tripped over the Gatorade bucket. But as Portis demonstrated they do happen. Then getting your 1st choice and in effect getting pick 4 would have sucked. So, although I considered the same strategy I opted out when Greg announced he was possibly drawing slots early.
