You are right on the money. The rude abrasive comments of "go read the rules, go find another league" spewed at people who come here asking harmless questions is sad and embarrassing. But over the years I have learned some about human behavior here. People on message boards are often going to behave like they are in high school. For some reason, for some people, it makes them revert back to that time. They get dramatic, they get hostile, they get dishonest or irrational. It is kind of a shame.
I have seen many people come here making harmless comments or asking question that to THEM are reasonable and they get mocked for no reason. If I were you, I would go with the old adage of not letting a "few bad apples" spoil things for you. The NFFC is the best thing going in fantasy sports that I know of. The vast majority of people who post here are great guys, some are VERY funny, and most are big time serious fantasy players. In the past I would engage with the clowns and rile them up by calling them on their behavior. Now I will ignore it and laugh at it and keep the talk to football.
There is a message board fraternity here (as on most boards from what I understand) and if you do not drink their kool-aid you will be shunned from their cyber club...lol

How can you root for my team more than yours? lol I guess that shows just how unreasonable some can be here (not you, but the people you are speaking of)... I really had no idea I impact people THAT MUCH on this board (though reading ugly yellows laughable post shows I do) that you would root for me to win the big prize just to see the message board fallout. I bet if I won this place would go silent regarding me...
Bottom line is lots of great people post here and it is a great setting for passionate fantasy football talk. Who knows, maybe some industry changing innovations (BBDS, 3RR, KDS, etc) will have been born on this message board...
