I see the process is up and running , but when can the first bids go in , or when will they stop? Can we do it for this week or starting next Tues? And until what deadline?

No FAAB bids before Week 1 games. Sorry, but that was clearly stated in the rules. The first FAAB bids will be allowed going forward with the deadline next Friday, Sept. 17th I believe at 4 p.m. EST. Good luck. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on the time.

when will the "winners" of free agent bids be announced?
for instance.. say you bid on a WR and do not get him... does the owner have time to bid on another WR prior to the weekends games?

No, there are conditional bids only. For instance, you put in a bid to acquire Randy Moss from the FA list for $10 and drop T. Owens. You can also add as many "conditional" bids on as many players as you want, all under the "drop" T. Owens bid. The only stipulation is that a conditional bid cannot be a higher $ amount than a bid listed ahead of it.
1. Add R. Moss for $10, drop T.Owens
a. Add H. Ward for $10 drop T. Owens
b. Add T. Holt for $8 drop T.O.
c. Add D. Mason for $2 drop T.O.
etc. etc. etc.
Bids are processed one time per week.

Yes, you can bid on eight players in one week and have eight conditional bids under each player if you'd like. Just make sure you rank the players you want in the dollar value amount you're going to bid. In other words, don't bid $10 for Randy Moss like Seeferman has in the example above and then your fourth conditional bid is $25 for Derrick Mason. The computer would process the $25 bid first, even though you felt he was your fourth conditional bid. Whatever your highest bid amount is for a player will be processed first.
All of the free agent winning bids will be processed no later than an hour after the Friday FAAB deadline, likely 20-30 minutes after that. You'll then know which free agents you acquired and be able to put them in your starting lineup before Sunday's first games.
