On the Scores and Odds forum (the message board of the site running the contest)a post was made "Where's the rosters". The NFFC admin answered "We can not post them because you can make changes in your rosters as the player's game has not started".

Rule #8 states in the rules "All starting rosters must be finalized five minutes before that weekend's first playoff game. No lineup changes will be allowed after the first kickoff".

Greg, you have been around long enough ( I hope)to know the problems of some fantasy games in the past. I would think you would not even want to open up the thought of a possible corrupt contest happening again especially under your name.

Even though I trust you this is very questionable as the possibility of the contest owner adding a team (with a great score) after the games are played is a posssibility under these conditions. Breaking rule #8 is certainly not a good idea.

Now I'm not saying this contest is corrupt but people who know me know I've been around a long time and I have been burned my a corrupt fantasy game so this CAN HAPPEN.

I was also wondering why we had no link to live or updated scoring (leaderboard). Is this something that appears on Monday after all games are played? Thanks!

The rosters were locked before the first game yesterday. I'll make sure the person who answered that is on the same page as maybe he thinks you can change your picks for the Giants, etc. today before that game starts. But the plan is to lock them all before the weekend's first games.

Nothing corrupt is happening here, but I'll take your point and make sure ScoresandOdds is on the same page with me. We've got a good playoff game and everything is running fine.

As for live scoring, I certainly never promised that. We're not working with STATS here and this is a small budget playoff game, so we'll just have to update the scores after the games are finished. I'll try to get some data and scores and post them on another thread so that you have some information to make your picks in Week 2, but for now keep track of your eight players you have this weekend and good luck.

Greg,
FYI, the post season web site is still letting you change out players who haven't played their games yet. Here was there response when someone asked about posting all of the rosters, "Standings will be put out after each round. As for rosters, we can not post them because you can make changes in your rosters as the player's game has not started".

I can change any players that have yet to play.

They are clearly not on the same page.

I'm glad they are not showing rosters for the reason that they think you can still make changes.

I wish lineups were locked for all games on the first kickoff each weekend.

Then rosters could be viewed, and scores could be tabulated, and we might actually have some fun.

It is no fun when the results are not updated right away. Please do not run anymore contests or leagues where the results can't be seen right away. Thanks.

Yup, you are correct. They assumed since we did this in the NFFC that we would allow moves up until that players' game time. So you are free to change your players from today's four teams five minutes until game time. As John said, nobody can view your roster so I don't see this as being a bad thing, although I had told people we were locking them before the first kickoff. If you get an update on one of your guys before gametime, move him out but obviously you'd need to replace him with someone from that team.

Okay, John, I'll remember not to run any more contests that don't have live scoring or live updates. How foolish of me.

Okay, they are changing that now. We'll lock them when this programming change occurs and going forward the rosters will be locked before the first game of the weekend. It's clearly stated in the rules that we're doing it this way and Scoresandodds.com will change that for us today.

The complete standings will be on the site on Monday morning and I'll post them online here as well. We don't have live scoring for everyone and we want to double-check the scoring tonight to make sure everything is accurate and then will post the scores tomorrow morning. To guys like John who feel this is inept, I'm sorry. But keep your scores and the standings will soon follow.

Thanks Greg. I don't think the standings or live scoring is a problem, I think people just want to see other teams rosters. Is there anyway we could get a list of transactions starting next week after the lineups are frozen (similar to waiver history during regular season). This way at the start of the first game we can see who everyone else added to their roster, and we track the scoring of teams in contention. Thanks

I don't really care about live stats, but updated standings each day an hour or two after final game should be expected. Even the way it is now, they could show us standings on our locked players.

The software should be 100% tested before play starts.

Thanks for getting right on it...

Randy Yeah, I'll look into that. Good suggestion.
