Okay, the second issue of Fantasy Sports Magazine is off to the printers, so everyone who has ordered the early magazines can expect their second package of four issues to arrive during the week of July 26-August 1. Enjoy.

In our second issue, we produced a draft grid that shows the selections of our 14 NFFC drafters along with a brief writeup on each selection. We actually used NFFC scoring totals from last year for many of the early-round writeups and I thought it made for interesting reading. Here's the first round writeup to give you a sample of what we offered:

Don Thompson: 1. LaDainian Tomlinson, RB
Averaged more than 24 points per game last year with NFFC scoring.

Will Robertson: 2. Priest Holmes, RB
Averaged 26.3 points per game last year in NFFC scoring.

Michael Edelman: 3. Deuce McAllister, RB
Deuce averaged 19 points per game in NFFC scoring last year.

Gregory Morgan: 4. Ahman Green, RB
Top option who averaged over 23 points per week in NFFC last year.

Dave Cushard: 5. Clinton Portis, RB
Has yet to have less than 1,800 yards in a season; 15 TDs a plus.

Gordon Gekko: 6. Shaun Alexander, RB
Averages 17 TDs a year and averaged over 18 points per week in ’03.

Phil Barto: 7. Jamal Lewis, RB
Rushing yardage alone would have been worth 13 points/week in NFFC.

John Crane: 8. Ricky Williams, RB
Dipped to just over 16 points per game using NFFC scoring last season.

Paul Sidikman: 9. Edgerrin James, RB
Averaged 23.7 NFFC points per game in last 10 games of 2003.

David Fisher: 10. Randy Moss, WR
Coming off a season of nearly 23 points per game in NFFC scoring.

Marc Quitsch: 11. Marshall Faulk, RB
He averaged 20.5 points per game in 2002 and 18 points in 11 starts in ’03.

Matt Bayley: 12. Kevan Barlow, RB
Averaged 26.8 NFFC points per game as a starter last season.

Stephen Nover: 13. Rudi Johnson, RB
Averaged over 15 NFFC points per start last year and upside is huge.

Ken Magner: 14. Torry Holt, WR
Averaged over 22 NFFC points per game last year with 117 receptions.

This was fun to write and we did writeups for all 252 picks. So check that out when the magazines come your way in a couple of weeks. Thanks again to the 14 owners who helped us out with this draft.

Hopefully this can become an annual event. I got a few more good ideas for you. Edit: Gekko has every intention in being in this event for life. But, you never know what may come along down the road...

Gordon Gekko, If anyone ever has picked the wrong last name this it. I've seen hundreds of gekkos.
Not one ever made a sound. They were quite and ate alot of bugs. Well maybe eating bugs is where you decided on the name Gekko.
