Okay, it's time to start a countdown for the 14-team NFFC Ultimate League that will be held on Sunday, Sept. 5th at 1 pm ET/10 am PT because we've already gone past the halfway point. This weekend the tag team of Brian Zeid and Jerry Sloan of Aurora, Ohio threw their hats back into the ring for this one, and last night Joseph Jefferson of Englewood, Colorado jumped into the Ultimate League and the Super League on that weekend. We're glad to have both veteran players back in these private leagues and we'll try to fill them up shortly.
The Ultimate League is paying back a record 92.5% in prizes this year, with one team having a shot at winning $41,000. The payouts include the following setup:
NFFC 14-Team Ultimate League
Sunday, Sept. 5th, 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT
1st: $31,000
2nd: $15,000
3rd: $7,500
h2h champ after Week 13: $5,000
Total Points champ after Week 13: $5,000
Consolation Round champ: $1,500
We are asking folks to pay for this league via check to avoid letting the credit cards profit from this league, leaving extra prize money for the participants. We are hosting this draft in the Monet Room at the Bellagio, but we are hooking folks up via teleconference if they can't make it to Las Vegas. It's something we'll do for the Ultimate and Super Leagues to help fill them up with the best players in our contest.
Let me know if you want to reserve a spot for this one because we're heading in the right direction in a hurry. Here's the current lineup card, with six spots still available:
