Boldin not to play???

Post by BillyWaz » Fri Sep 28, 2007 6:53 am

Never good when you don't practice on Friday (and the 3rd day in a row).

Anquan Boldin-WR-Cardinals Sep. 28 - 1:43 pm et

Anquan Boldin missed his third consecutive practice Friday.

Boldin's hip injury will likely lead him to be listed as questionable at best for Sunday's tilt with Pittsburgh. Consider other options in fantasy leagues. The Steelers are excellent in the secondary and there's little chance Boldin will have all his speed. His status won't be known for sure until game day.

Doesn't look good, as could he even finish the game if he did play??? This might make Bryant Johnson a nice pickup (if available?)

"Boldin is expected to see limited work in practice this week, but chances are he'll be active vs. Pittsburgh. Brown did some limited work in Thursday's practice."

From the Cardinals injury report

Boldin is 100% playing this week. Wisenflunk won't miss this chance to beat the steelers.

I WAS JUST GOING TO ASK YOU THAT QUESTION G.G. HOWEVER I WILL ASK THIS ONE. IN YOUR OPINION WHY ARE SO MANY PEOPLE MISSING PRACTICE? IS IT JUST TO REST OR WHAT. THE PEOPLE BELOW ALL ARE MISSING PRACTICE THAT HAVE MAJOR FANTASY IMPACT:

B. WESTBROOK
J. WALKER
A. BOLDIN
K. WINSLOW
P. BURRESS
L. JOHNSON
J. DELHOMME

ALL THESE PEOPLE CAN BE POTENTIALLY GAME DAY SCRATCHES WHICH CAN SUCK.

Delhomme
Winslow
Walker
Boldin

These guys are the only ones you should worry about. Westbrook and Burress have been know to heal if you just leave them alone and let them be, during the week. They are stars, and this IS just PRACTICE. Not that the other 4 I mentioned above aren't stars, but they have injuries that are more to be concerned about.

Anquan Boldin (hip) missed his third consecutive practice Friday and will be listed as doubtful for Week 4.

The Steelers are excellent in the secondary and there's little chance Boldin will have all his speed even if he somehow finds a way to play. Bryant Johnson is in line to pick up a start, but shouldn't be used in fantasy leagues.

I gotta go scour the waiver wire for a replacement in one of my leagues. :(

Of all those listed...

Winslow is a man...he plays through total pain.

Boldin sure looks like one too...I'd expect him to play.

Westbrook doesn't seem hurt much...just healing...he's been around this block, and knows the playbook and his responsibilities...practice less important.

I'd doubt Delhomme plays...other than his fearing the loss of his starting gig.

Javon, Burress and LJ...I'm not sure how big their hearts are.
