Saints Pleased With Stallworth's Off-Season Work Ethic

Post by Tom Kessenich » Mon May 17, 2004 3:16 am

From KFFL.com: John McClain, of the Houston Chronicle, reports New Orleans Saints WR Donte Stallworth has shown a strong work ethic this offseason in order to prepare for the upcoming season. Stallworth has changed his diet, reduced his body fat to less than 8 percent, has gotten stronger and has learned new stretching techniques to help him avoid the leg injuries that have plagued him in his brief NFL career. "I told him the other day I was proud of him," coach Jim Haslett said. "He's starting to take care of his body and learning what it takes to be a pro. If he keeps it up, he's going to have a big year."
