It’s only May, but that wasn’t too early for several of the fantasy football industry’s top experts to get together and put together one of the first Expert League drafts of the season courtesy of John Hansen and his upcoming FantasyGuru.com magazine. Along with John and myself, the other experts in the draft were from footballinjuries.com, KFFL.com, FF Pro Forecast, Yahoo!, FF Champs.com, USA Today Sports Weekly, Mr. Fantasy Football 2003 and AOL Fantasy Insider. There were two special guests in the draft – Paul Allen, the radio voice of the Minnesota Vikings and former baseball star Fred McGriff.
The league consists of 12 teams drafting 20 players each. The first 14 rounds of the draft were completed on May 6 with the final six being held closer to the start of the season. Each starting lineup consists of 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 Flex (RB, WR, TE), 1 Kicker, 1 TE and 1 Defense.
