Barkley To Join Monday Night Football?
The Associated Press reports ABC executives have inquired about whether former NBA All-Star Charles Barkley would be interested in joining Monday Night Football, according to the network and Barkley's agent, Marc Perman. "We've been approached about doing something," said Perman, who declined to discuss specifics. Barkley is currently a basketball analyst on TNT's Inside the NBA.

Barkley To Join Monday Night Football?
I think Barkley's great on TNT's NBA games, but that's his element and that's where he belongs. ABC really needs to stop thinking that adding "celebrities" to the broadcast is going to attract more viewers. That plan failed miserably with Dennis Miller and we saw what a disaster it was for ESPN with Rush Limbaugh. The fact of the matter is TV ratings are down across the board. What sells Monday Night Football is the game, not who's broadcasting. If the game's a dog you could have Britney Spears doing card tricks naked and it isn't going to bump the ratings up at all.
Well on second thought ...
