Now that Eddie George has signed a deal with the Cowboys, where do the following players go in the NFFC draft:

1) Julius Jones. He went 47th in the NFFC Mock Draft for Fantasy Sports Magazine. Does he go a lot lower?

2) Eddie George. He went 50th in that same mock draft. Does he go higher or lower now that he's with the Cowboys?

3) Chris Brown. Is he a Top 100 player now? Seems like he still doesn't have a starting job.

4) Antowain Smith. Is he a worthy RB3?

5) Tyrone Wheatley. Is he still going to start in Oakland? I thought George would end up there, but it didn't happen. Maybe Wheatley will start the year as the main back in Oakland.

I'm interested in quick thoughts as it's time to start talkin' some football. Lots happening.

Here are my thoughts:

(1)Julius Jones just became an insurance pick for Eddie George. He'll be on the bench as long as Eddie is healthy.
(2)Eddie George is still about a #50 pick as the Dallas line isn't exactly stable.
(3)Chris Brown is a higher pick as he will start based on Smith getting a one-year deal at the minimum for his tenure.
(4)Antowain Smith is nothing more than insurance for Brown, either health wise or mistake wise.
(5)I just don't see Ty Wheatley starting. If Oakland was happy with him, why did they sign Hambrick and Zereoue?

1. Get the answers to this one right and you'll have a nice advantage in the draft.

2. Trying to answer these questions before training camp is an exercise in futility.

3. Sharing your true thoughts on this subject...priceless. Did anybody notice that we are playing for the same prize?

Greg won"t be asking these questions four weeks from now so unless everyone who reads this thinks I'm a guru and prints it, which I seriously doubt, you have nothing to worry about. But, if you think any of this information is going to make a difference between winning or losing the big money, you'd better go see a shrink now because your paranoia about someone having more football information than you come draft day is only going to get worse after training camps start.

Very well said Scarecrow! I don't think anyone involved in the chase for the $200,000 prize doesn't know what they are doing (if they wanted to waste money, they could go to Vegas or A.C and play "Let it Ride"!) :D

Anyhow, whoever wins the $200,000 will need A LOT of things to fall in thier favor, and yes, LUCK IS A FACTOR!!! If your top pick goes down with a season ending injury, you are screwed, and there isn't much you can do.

I think the only person who thinks he is more knowledgeable than the rest of us is Gordon Gecko! And based on the way he talks his smack, he just may be the smartest fantasy football mind on the planet!

Sure glad I'm going to N.Y, and not Vegas.... where team Gecko is going to steamroll everyone!

Oh.... that is if he has a draft pick that is to his liking!

Well spoken, Billy Waz. I am headed to Vegas to tackle Team Gecko which should be great fun compared to going to NY to hang out with a bunch of paranoid guys. It's funny how JerseyPaul could share his opinions on running backs five weeks ago with Diesel and it was ok but if someone else does it it's a CIA leak. It must be a northern thing.

Does this mean my pick of Eddie George in the mock draft is NOT a wasted pick as mentioned by some "experts"?

Anyone who thought Eddie was done made a big mistake. And by going to DAL, well, his stock will rise. I believe Parcells is a running man and likes the veterns.... Anyone care to rethink my team... Gordon??

I also happen to be a huge Dallas fan, I really like the move, Jones will have time to learn from one of the best.

I agree that George should be productive. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable with him as MY #2 RB, but in a 14 team league with a stud RB already in place, it could probably work.

Sorry Phil...the experts say he was a poor pick, and you had an overall poor showing in the mock draft. Sorry, but being honest here. :(
