How will that impact the Dolphins' passing game? Do you see the Dolphins forced to pass more and thus enhancing the values of players like Chris Chambers, David Boston and Randy McMichael? Or will the lack of a dominant RB allow defenses to key heavily on the Miami passing game, thus lowering their values?

We're interested in getting your thoughts on this major pre-season story, so chime in here and let us know what you think.

I personally think it may hurt their value, as teams will not have to respect the run, and the Qb position in Miami isn't strong enough to overcome something like this.

Snake & Waz are RIGHT ON! Great timing on RW's part...George gone, Antowain gone...how about James Stewart returning to Florida...just a little further south from Jacksonville, right? (& a lot further south than Detroit) If the Dolphins stand pat on their RB's, the entire offense takes a hit, Fiedler/Feeley, Boston, Chambers, McMichael, Mare, etc. However, if they can get J. Stewart or another proven veteran RB in a trade...you never know. How about T. Hambrick? Has he been cut yet from Oakland?...LOL...What's Trung doing these days? Got to love my former Arizona Wildcats, BEAR DOWN!

It's easy to say teams are going to not respect the run and focus on the passing game, it's the safe play in response to the question.

But, the dolphins strong suit now (like it or not) is the passing game. May I remind you When RW ran for over 1800 yards two years ago the QB duties were split between Fiedler and Ray Lucas. Nobody was afraid of the Dolphins passing game and RW still ran for 1800.

I'm not predicting a mega passing game for the Dolphins in 2004, but at the same time I don't agree with the doom and gloom everyone seems to be painting for the dolphins.

I think many an owner will pass on Chris Chambers or Boston because of the RW situation which is fine with me. I'll get those one of them really low and take advantage of the upside - which for the Dolphins will have to be the passing game.

I wasn't saying they are going to be horrible, but I personally can't help reduce my projections for Chambers, Boston, and McMichael. I no longer feel safe wth Chambers as a #2, but I wouldn't hesitate taking him as a #3 because of the aforementioned "upside.

The water delivery guy at work said he is moving up both Chambers and Boston around 6 spots each in his WR rankings. He could be right you know...

Training camp should prove one of you right but just remember Miami has seen New England win two of the past three Super Bowls without any appreciable running game. Some NFL experts have said A.J. Feeley would be ideal in that type of short passing offense and Travis Minor is bound to have better hands coming out of the backfield than RW. I want to see some preseason action before I decide.

Now with Boston Down, one has to consider that Miami's offense has to be cenetered around Minor (pass catching out of the backfield_) Chambers (always been huge red zone target) and McMichael who if he doesn't see the wisdon of getting out of Wandstatt's doghouse now is higher than Rickey Williams.
Those three guys up side has just gone up in my opinion.
