Answer: He rushed for 125 yards, caught 2 passes (for 10 yards), AND a TD against the Redskins last night.

Question: ?
Is my "weekend warrior" prep better than your prep?

Sure as heck wasn't the same player... Steven Jackson is a fine known quantity, but he's not the only one.

Unlike Gekko, I'm not tipping my hand anywhere... well except for telling you all that Drew Henson will be rookie of the year.

Hopefully Dyv will be in one of the multi-city leagues this year so that I can shadow his draft from the next table--even though I'll be in New York. I have Dyv to thank for Oliver Perez and many, many others...

And yes, I am kidding.

Dyv, I did look over your draft immediately after my own was completed. We did have a couple of players in common (I think you had Renteria, too). Truth be told, I had a feeling that you would be one of the more competitive owners this season, and wanted to see how your team stacked up.

So does the 80% luck/20% skill apply to baseball as well? Or does your Top 10 or so position make it the other way around? ;)

Yep, have Renteria, too.

I'm not going to say it has anything to do with being around the top 10... I was 9th or 10th overall in the WCOFB last year, too.

But I do think baseball and football are pretty different, I'd say:

30% luck, 30% daily management, 40% skill

I do think a good baseball GM can win consistently. I think a good football GM can be competitive consistently.

And has nothing to do with my positions... my best fantasy sport by far is Hockey ;)

Oh, you mean the guy most had rated as the #1 back in the draft who is playing behind an aging starter? Hysterical.
