Gordon
How about a little commentary. What is your take on the Droughns bidding? I don't think Shanahan is ready to give up on Griffin just yet - but then again we are talking Shanahan here.

I am a little surprised that Booker was still available, even with the Miami woes this year.

B.Forsey?

The Newsletter headline should read:
L.Gordon $$$$
L.Henry $$$$
B.Forsey $$$$
S.Morris $$$$
Watching your competitors flame out with the Miami backfield - priceless!

Any other thoughts?

Like most FA pick-ups he's a shot in the dark. He could be a stud one week and then be delegated to part-time duty the next. As far as the bidding, I see nothing wrong for the prices he went for.

I had to drop Booker 2 weeks ago to cover my bye week (stupid small roster let's not go at it Shamu). That move helped me win last week and take contoll of the league for now, but it hurt my depth and helped another team with a free gift. I didn't want to do it, but it was neccassary. I had hope to pick him back up, but the price was too high. I also had to drop Conway several weeks ago for almsot the same reason. This is why smaller rosters provides gifts to other teams..... They don't need to research, jsut hope that a stacked team needs to drop someone

I see another Staley/Bettis situation here. Anyone with Griffin will be happy from here on in with his yardage, but Droughns will be brought in for short yardage and goal line situations. If Griffin can pop out a few 15 yard TD runs, you won't have to worry about Droughns coming in to steal the score.

Droughns, on the other hand, can handle a full game, as last week can show. he could be the complete package, ala T.Davis, M.Anderson, O.Gary. Griffin had his chance and he failed. we'll see tomorrow... :D

58 carries

2.4 yards per carry
0 TD

[/QUOTE]Agreed on all the above.

I would also add Booker 70 (nice pick up) to the barbain list. I got him in the MidSeason draft and he was great last week.

If Roethlisberger continues to improve he could also be considered for the BARGAIN list.
