Super Sat 28 DC - Bid Deadline Thu 8-23 9a.m.
Posted: Mon Aug 20, 2007 6:43 am
The deadline for submitting your bids for draft slots is 9 a.m. Eastern Thursday August 23rd, 2007.
Remember, you are bidding ACTUAL SEASON POINTS for each slot. An e-mail should be sent to Tom prior to the deadline ([email protected]) in the following format.
Example:
#1 – 70
#2 – 65
#14 – 60
#13 – 55
#3 – 50
#4 – 45
#12 – 40
#11 – 35
#5 – 30
#10 – 25
#6 – 20
#9 – 15
#8 – 10
#7 – 5
Make sure bids are submitted in descending order just as you would with your normal KDS preference.
You do not have to bid on any of the slots. However, zero bids will be randomly assigned by Tom. If you prefer one slot over another you should have at least a 1 point bid.
BIDS MUST BE IN EVEN NUMBERS, NO FRACTIONS!
The highest bids for the odd slots (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, and 13) will be placed in League A
The highest bids for the even slots (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14) will be placed in League B
2nd Annual Super Satellite DC
Draft Date/Time
Monday, Aug 27th at 8pm EST
Entry Fee
$300/team
PRIZES
28 teams @ $300/team
1st $6000.
2nd $600
3rd $400
Teams
28 in one league (after the drafts).
Play format
Draft Champions with 3RR
Draft
Two drafts will be held simultaneously on mockdraftcentral. Each draft will be comprised of 14 teams. After the drafts are over, all 28 teams will be put in the same league! [Tom checked to see if STATS could list all teams in the same league page, but it is not in the contract. We will have a thread on the message board to update all participants on the combined standings for the two leagues.]
Draft Slots
Determined by bidding some of your team's future points. If you are successful in securing a draft slot by bidding points, those points will be deducted from your team’s total at the start of the season. Obviously, some teams will start out with negative points.
This is how it would work; everyone would submit his or her bids to Tom via e-mail. (Only one e-mail to Tom per owner please). Tom will evaluate all of the bids he receives. For example, suppose the highest bid out of all 28 owners was 55 points. That owner would receive that draft slot and their season point total would begin at minus 55 (-55), instead of 0. Tom would remove that owner from future draft slot consideration. Tom would continue the evaluations by determining which owner bid the next highest amount (let’s say 50 points). That owner would receive that draft slot and their season point total would begin at minus 50 (-50), instead of 0. Tom continues the evaluation until all draft slots are awarded or there are no more bids to evaluate. Owners not bidding on a draft slot will receive a random draft slot from the remaining draft slots. Those teams will begin the season with 0 points (as they normally would).
