Fantasy Pick 'Em 2007

Post by Diesel » Sat Nov 10, 2007 2:12 pm

How many guys would be interested in a "Fantasy Pick 'Em 2008" contest?

Each participant would be given $1000 Fantasy dollars and would have 16 weeks to roll that over into as much as possible, by wagering your pretend money on games each week, using NFL point spreads. You'd be allowed to bet as much as your total Fantasy dollar amount is up to, and you'd be able to bet as many games as you'd want to, as long as your total potential loss doesn't exceed your actual fantasy dollars at that time.

If your money falls to $0, you are eliminated from the contest.

At the end of the 2008 season, the team(s) with the most Fantasy dollars wins the contest.

I'd be in on that!

I don't like the games that "you can only pick this team once per season" stuff.

Your rules are fair. Shitt...the winner could be the one who never bets at all!!! :D

...or bets week 1 and wins, and waits to see if/when anyone passes him...lots of strategy!

*We'd have one source for NFL spreads, and it would lock in on the same day of each week. If there is "no line" on a certain game on that day, the game would be unbettable for that week.

*There would be a minimum of 1 game per week bet, and I'll come up with a minumum amount for that one bet.

KJD,

I'd love to do it now, but I'd rather be able to collect all money before the contest starts, so there's no tracking people down for the cash if/when they lose.

I always bring up the old GrudgeMatch scenario...Chicago waited a YEAR for one or two guys to send them their $10 that was owed, and I believe one guy never even sent it. The honor system should be okay within the realms of the NFFC because a LOT of the guys here can be reached one way or another, but to keep it completely on the level, it's best to have all monies in my hand before the contest starts and I announce what the prizes would be.

KJ, you'd have to take the reigns here in 2007 if you want to use PayPal...I wouldn't know how to use PayPal on such short notice...

I'm also working 6-7 days a week...I say this as I'm setting my lineups at 6:45 AM...lol...Hoping to G-d that nothing changes from now until gametime...

Talk later
