Hey Tom...Do the injuries to N.Burleson look to you like it might hinder him all year? Or do you think whenever he comes back, he'll be at full strength?

I don't know if he'll be at full strength but if he can come back soon I think he still has a chance to be productive in that offense. But obviously hearing about new injuries is not a good sign for him or his fantasy owners.

I have Burleson AND Jackson in my home league...Luckily I have 3 RB's for trade bait..I've been offered a few proposals...Which one looks best to you?

1-Hines Ward for J. Jones
2-Roy Williams and W.Parker for J. Jones
3-D. Mason and Barlow for Stephen Davis

No. 3 is the safest choice and I'd probably go that route. That said, JJ's injury sounds like it could be a problem. If it's a high ankle sprain as some believe I can't see any way he's not sitting out for the next 4 games or so. They're being awfully quiet about that injury and the fact he didn't come into the game last week in the second half was a major red flag for me.

Is Staley toast for the year if the remaining Steeler RB's stay healthy.
I read today that Mr. Chin said he may not be 100% for the entire year.

Also - was there some nostalgic point to giving the ball to the son of "sweetness" at the goal line? follow that up with a McNair sneak at 1st and goal and I'm becoming a real unhappy C.Brown owner.

Thanks. That was my choice too. Just curious what you thought....

How about Rudi Johnson, Tom? Is he this year's Clinton Portis? He's getting the yards, but where are the TD's? I think he'll start hitting paydirt. What are your thoughts?

Staley is looking like a lost cause right now. It is a long season, though, and plenty of weird things can happen. But it doesn't look good for Duce right now. Keep in mind that in addition to Parker and Bettis, the Steelers really like Haynes as a third-down RB.

I can't attempt to understand the logic of Mr. Chow's playcalling in Tennessee. I'm still trying to figure out why the only receivers McNair seems capable of throwing the ball to consistently in that offense are tight ends.

I think Rudi will be getting his TDs soon enough -- this week for starters. And if you read my column on our Web site, you know I've already called out this week as the one where Portis finally scores. I wouldn't be worried about Rudi. He's running very well and that offense obviously is really good. He'll get his TDs.
