After running this the past few seasons, Marc Quitsch, aka Diesel, has decided to devote his time to dominating the fantasy world. Since I love playing in this and don't want to see it go away, I'm taking over the reigns. To see how the past transpired

Everything will remain the same as past seasons.

For anyone that has never done this type of contest, here's how it works. It's commonly called a "share pool". Each paid participant will be awarded 1000 "shares" to start the NFL season.

Each week, as point spreads are announced, you may wager your shares on any given NFL game. There is no minimum or maximum to the shares you may bid on any game, in any week.

You will wager your shares just as you would with real money in Vegas...It's all up to you when you wager, who you wager on, and how much you wager.

You may wager on a team (giving or getting points)...Or you may wager on the over/under of any game(as long as there is an over/under).

Our pool's website sets the default point spreads on Tuesday mornings based on the current odds from a list of different sportsbooks.

The cost is $65 per entry. $5 per entry is used
to pay for the website. $60 per entry is placed in the prize pool. There is no "vig."

You can enter as many different times as you'd like. Each entry will be separate, and you'll have to create a new free account name for each new team on the website. They have the capability for anyone to create an "alias" to make it simple to create multiple screen names.

The actual prize structure will be provided once all entries are paid. Plan for a breakdown close to this:
1st 50%-60%
2nd 20%-30%
3rd 10%-20%
4th 5%-10%

If you are using anything other than your paypal balance or bank account, send $70.

ONCE I RECEIVE PAYMENT, AN INVITATION WILL BE SENT TO JOIN THE LEAGUE.

I'm also running a SURVIVOR pool on the same site. Quite basic and cheap, pick a different team to win each week....Winner take all. $11 per entry.

Gentle reminder, when sending $$$$ via paypal, if you are using anything other than your balance or bank account, IE: credit card, send $70.

If you are using your paypal balance or bank account, send $65.

And MOST IMPORTANTLY, when you send the payment, right below the dollar amount being sent, there's a "PURCHASE" tab and a "PERSONAL" one, click on "Personal" and "Other" when sending to avoid fees.

Also, PLEASE provide an e-mail address when paying by check.

I've received many e-mails stating people were signing up, so hopefully the next week increases our total.

I won't accept any entries after Friday, Sept. 10th.....yes, I know there is a game the night before.

With the limited entries so far, the odds of winning look very nice....especially in the Survivor Pool. Hopefully we'll see the normal last week push to get the entries to a respectable amount.

Less than a week to go before signups are closed this Friday at midnight.

Hi Patrick...I sent you an email. Put me down for one entry in each contest.

Also, I suggest you send another email out tomorrow. Don't worry about "bothering" people. Each year I ran the contest, I averaged 3-4 emails with people begging to get in, and apologizing for forgetting to join. Give people every last chance to join!
