Wait a minute, oh now I remember; the title of this thread should be “Proof that Gordon Gekko IS a tool.” Have at it:

(Gotta keep the MB fresh somehow.)

Edited to include:

Please ignore the original above post and feel free to give Gekko and Dvy props for having the idea and getting the mid-season league off the ground.

Is my "weekend warrior" prep better than your prep?

Nathan, how about we keep the MB fresh without a thread that could basically just be an excuse to rip on somebody? Self-deprecating humor is one thing -- and something I'm quite fond of :D -- but creating a thread merely to allow people to take a shot at another member isn't something we'd like to see here. Hope you understand.

What is Nnoy's record and point total so far? The only reason I ask is that he talks a lot, and I am curious if he actually "backs it up"?

[/QUOTE]You know I’m just play’n Gordo, hell you’re the reason we are having two mid-season leagues. The days of you taking abuse on the MB are coming to an end, so I figured what’s one final shot in jest?

We're not big on deleting threads as you guys all know. So I'm not going to delete this one. Yes Gordon has tough skin and I know he can take it as well as he dishes it out, but I think we can have plenty of fun without inviting people to take pot shots at one another. Critique each other's teams and strategies and have at it, but let's keep all the personal stuff out of it. Thanks.

Sounds like a good game plan Tom, I’ll do my best to adhere to the policy.

Remember when Jim Rome first got popular? He kept calling Jim Evertt “Chrissy.” Then he interviewed him on TV and Evertt warned him to stop it, but Rome was not smart enough to do so. Evertt almost killed Rome that day. That’s what I feel like, although I’m not sure if I closer relate to Rome or Evertt.

I still think that fight was staged.

Rome wasn't the only one who called Everett "Chrissy." That was Everett's rep around the entire NFL. I remember Johnny Holland (a former linebacker with the Packers) telling me once after a Packers-Rams game how the defensive players were chanting "Chrissy, Chrissy, Chrissy" during a film session on Monday after watching Everett intentionally get out of the way of a Packer defensive player following an interception. Funny stuff.
