If two teams finish at 11-2, and team A beats team B head to head but team B has more total points than team A. Am I reading the rules wrong with team B winning first place even thogh he lost to team A ?

It is kind of funny that we award the 1st place money to the team with the best H2H record but the tie breaker is total points.

This might make sense if more than 2 teams are involved and no one team ran the table against the others, but......

I'm OK with it because I think points is the best indicator but it really doesn't make sense in this format if there are only 2 or 3 teams involved. Even then, points should be the 2nd tie breaker.

This subject always brings out the looney tunes music for me because this part of the format makes no sense.

your right route c . if two teams are tied at 11-2 and you beat that team and lose on points tie-breaker you could be out of the playoff money if third place team at 10-3 has more points than you. that's a tough way to go out.

Wait a minute why would the 11-2 get screwed. The team that lost to the screwed 11-2 team cannot get credit for both best record and high points. Whats the point of head to head if that is the case. Why even play head to head if the fifth place team goes 6-7 but has more points than the team that had the best record in the league but not enough overall points.

Greg,
What's is the correct answer if two teams end up at 11-2 like in my original post with no other teams involved for first place. Wouldn't both teams go to the playoffs?

the way i understand it is that if TEAM A(2400 TOTAL PTS) is tied with TEAM B for first place (2477 PTS)if TEAM A beat TEAM B it does not matter. TEAM B would get first. ALSO if TEAM C has one or two more loses and has (2544 pts) then TEAM C gets second place prize money and TEAM A gets the ROYAL SCREW. TEAM A comes in first , beats TEAM B and gets nothing. this is how i understand it.

You're absolutely right Blackhand. 1st place is best record. In the event of a tie the team with the most points wins 1st place. Of the remaining 13 teams, the one with highest points goes to the playoffs - regardless of record.

If that is the case scenario, why are we having head to head match-ups then. No way the team that goes 11-2 gets screwed when they have beat all teams behind them.

Route C,
But why is the team that lost to the same record get both high points and H2H. Why doesn,t he go in at 1st place(high point tie-breaker) while the other 11-2 team goes in 2nd place. I understand the first tie-breaker which is a INCREDIBLY WRONG MOVE determining the Champ, but the 11-2 team gets screwed out of everything, what is it luck for him to go 11-2 because that team didn't have more points than the 5th place team?
