Prize $

Post by El Diablo » Mon Jun 13, 2005 8:46 am

Greg , i assume the prize $ will increase if the event is sold out? Last year was $200,000if it was sold out. When we fell short the prize lowered. Assuming we will have more participants (surely) is the prize $ going to be adjusted accordingly?

Prize $

Absolutely. Last year we originally shot for 602 and as you know by mid-August it was obvious we weren't going to reach our goal. So we set up the prize money based on 308 teams and even though we fell short at 224, we kept that prize structure intact, paying back almost 89 percent of entry fee revenue.

This year we have increased league prizes by $1,000, increasing second place from $1,500 to $2,500, and have based the prize money on 350 teams. If we increase above 350, we will first increase the second through 10th overall payouts and then first overall. I will be happy if we close out at 350 and definitely will not go above 448 (as stated on the application). Should we reach that max level, the overall prize will obviously increase above $100,000.

I like the early enthusiasm, and after selling all 300 spots in baseball, I'm extremly confident that we'll reach our goals this football season. Thanks for the continued support.
