Draft Spots?
Greg do you give out draft spots (not leagues) before the event is sold out or do you pick them the same time as you pick the leagues?

Is my "weekend warrior" prep better than your prep?
Draft Spots?
When do we find out what league a team is in and the draft order, the day of?
Draft Spots?
In the past, the leagues and order were picked on the Monday previous to the draft (which would be 8/28 this year).
However, implementing KDS might prolong everything a bit.
It is like a pack of wolves who haven't eaten in weeks and Greg and Tom are like a couple of young fawns who have each broken their legs, as everyone is ready to pounce if the picks and leagues don't come out quick enough!
Poor guys, they can't win for trying.

Kentucky Derby System
You basically get to pick your PREFERENCE of what pick you want.
For example, Greg and Tom pull person A first, they choose the #2 slot as their most desirable pick. That pick is now taken.
person B is picked next and their most desired is #8. They get #8, and it is now taken and so on.
It basically gives each owner an opportunity to have some say in their draft position rather than conpletely random.
Hope this helped?

We will pick the leagues no later than Monday Aug. 28. If we sell out before that date we'll pick the leagues sooner. That happened for our baseball event and we picked the leagues the Friday before our deadline. That gave everyone the weekend and then the entire week leading up to the event to prepare. So hopefully we'll be able to duplicate that for football.
But the leagues will be picked and posted online as well as sent to everyone via e-mail no later than Aug. 28.

Draft Spots?
Here is a description of KDS from our Rules page:
In the NFFC main event, the Draft Champions and in the Ultimate Draft Leagues, we'll also implement the Kentucky Derby Style process to allow owners more draft preference. The KDS process allows owners to rank their order of preference for Draft Day, ranking their preferences 1 through 14 BEFORE the leagues are selected. If an owner wants the third pick if he is selected No. 1 overall in his league, he would choose that option and he would then be moved to third in that league on Draft Day. NFFC officials will look at every owner's Draft Preferences after the leagues and orders are randomly selected and then announce the draft orders for each league. Once each NFFC owner has officially signed up for the contest, they can find this feature in their game site under My Settings. Then click on Draft Preferences and you'll see the Draft Order ranked 1 through 14 and the option to change those preferences next to them. If you decide not to rank your preferences, your preferred order will remain 1 through 14. Owners can change their Draft Preferences right up until the announced deadline is set.

I'm sure it was just a typo, but I thought I would let you know before people went into "panic mode"!
