Yes, this year we have changed the satellite league rules to put in the first waiver wire pickup BEFORE week 1. We should run FAAB the weekend of Sept. 5th, but if you pick someone up from that Thursday game he's ineligible to start for you that week. That's the only stipulation.
Nice...but this is the first I've heard about this rule change. Had it been previously announced? Also you should probably change it in the Rules section; it still reads:

9. Bidding Time Frame: The bidding process will be held each week after Week 1 and continues through the end of the NFFC regular season. Bids will be accepted on the league web site from Tuesday at 9 am ET until Friday at 4 p.m. ET in each of those weeks. If you are submitting by phone, you must submit your bids by 2:30 p.m. ET on Friday. Rosters will be updated by 5 p.m. ET Friday with the results of all successful bids.
Yes, I'll update this. We offer so many early season satellite leagues now that I believe we must run the first FAAB before Week 1. It was something we said we would do in 2008 and it was something I thought I had changed in the rules. I'll forward to STATS now with the updated schedule.

Greg, in my opinion, this is a great rules change. Anyone that has done pre-season satellites should appreciate this move. Thanks!
