I wonder who that was? ;)

Rob and Route C,

I'm not an Auction guy, and do beleive that making this a Auction Draft would be the best way to go about it. It's fair on every level. So sorry but I'm out.

Thanks,

John

Sorry, but we're NOT interested in an Auction Draft, so U can take JerseyYO off the list...if U go back to what was originally proposed, then we would be highly interested! Thankz & Good Luck Yo!!

Guys,

It was just a suggestion. Don't go anywhere, this is going to happen one way or another and if even one player doesn't want an auction, that idea is filed away.

Now lets get this ironed out and get round one out of the way!

Rob,

I like the idea of the auction but I'll play either way.

Although I like any auction I think we would be better served keeping this a serpentine for a couple of reasons:

1. We already have a full league..before the SB
2. Part of the intrigue in this for me is the communication between owners and how our thoughts shift with each passing month in shaping a top 400+ players list.

The cool thing about this is we will be done with 150 players or so before the first cheat sheet hits the newstand...so to speak.

A true test of prognosticators. I'm fine with the chat room or e-mail set up and re-drawing KDS every round too but my goal isn't to make this the most FAIR competition as it is to get an early reading on our thoughts and have a good core discussion group.

I don't care if I come in last and donate (OK maybe a little..lol) but I do care about the early attention we're drawing to FF.

Greg: Would NBC ascribe any value to a hard core group of players like this who are ready for next year before the SB has even been played? It seems like a newsworthy angle to pursue to me.

I'm sure I could write up a story for Rotoworld.com once you have the first phase done and talk about trends, strategies, etc., and give you guys a few minutes of fame. Yeah, no problem on that angle.

If we're gonna get this party started we need to exchange e-mail's.

Mine is [email protected]

If you don't want yours displayed here send it to me and I'll make sure all 14 owners get copied so we can forward each pick.

I suggest we start the clock at midnight after the Super Bowl. That's Feb 2nd.

We need a draft order so KDS needs to be to Tom in the next few days.

I wonder if Rob would be able or willing to do our KDS going forward. Rob is a very honorable guy and I would trust him to do it if he has time.

I will do anything to make this happen.

I will log the picks, kds and draft order in a tidy spreadsheet for all to use. I will do this for each phase, before and after for all to draft with.

I could probably design the excel spreadsheet to have pull down tabs for each draft position with the players listed alphabetically and by position. I just need a little lead time for that. Maybe that is my homework for this week?

I would also need some help assembling the rookie list if they are drafted by name. That is not my strength.

Draft Order: I do not see how re-drawing KDS does anything but I will play anyway you folks set it up. If we do re-kds before each phase, would we still use 3RR?

I would rather bid for slots using our FA $$$.

Jeff has my proxy!

Suggestion: Let Greg/Tom take my slot and then writing about it has more teeth. I could act as moderator/record-keeper.

I suggest we only use 3RR to start the draft. No need to complicate this further.

I've had 2 e-mails sent to me from Hammer and Hammerheads...still need 11 more.

How many have sent in KDS at this point.
