My WRs are the best in the league. They just may be, Roberto...but mine could give you a run for their money!

I went nutty and broke fairly fast...but that was the game plan today.

Here's how my starters could pan out...

QB: Marc Bulger STL (With the return of a healthy Orlando Pace and Steven Jackson, and a youth infusement at WR in Donnie Avery (first WR drafted in 2008)...I look for a bounce back season.)

RB: Laurence Maroney NE (Gotta love the "now firmly entrenched" RB of the Superbowl runner up New England Patriots! Earning his playing time in 2007 resulted in him also earning Goal Line carries...sweeeeeet.)

RB: Willie Parker PIT (Value dropped after only 2 TD's in 2007 and with the addition of a possible RBBC with rookie Mendenhall...but his selection makes two "former NFFC first rounders" from 2007 for my squad, with nice workloads to come regardless of any splits to keep them fresh.)

WR: Braylon Edwards CLE (He's the best WR in football IMO. 16 TD's to go with plenty of receptions and yards. He's a 25 year old STUD who should compete for best WR in football for the next decade.)

WR: Torry Holt STL (Nice one-two punch with my QB Bulger. Holt "ho-hummed" his way to another solid season, despite the injury riddled Rams that had one of those "write-off" years. Another 93 rec and better yards and TD numbers are in store for 2008.)

WR: Chad Johnson CIN  (Another solid season of 93, 1400, 8TD for funny man turned bad boy Chad. He will put up "Chad" numbers wherever he plays in 2008. Get him smiling, and he'll challenge for best WR once more.)

TE: Kellen Winslow CLE (Best TE in football IMO. Value rises with the questionable status of Gates. He plays through injury, and still has upside, but I'd be happy with a repeat performance of his 82 rec, 1100 yard season.)

Flex: Mark Bradley CHI (My bet to be the Bears best WR in 2008. Finally healthy, and with little competition to start, he was my "sleeper steal" late in this draft.)

K: Nate Kaeding SD (Tough kid earned my respect by playing late last season on a bum wheel (fractured lower plant leg)...unlike no-toughness LT. He only missed 3 kicks all of last year.)

DEF: Cleveland Browns (I find Joshua Cribbs more exciting to watch return kicks than anyone in the NFL (including Hester and "make it rain" :D ). Cleveland is a team with a plan, going 10-6 in 2007 (7-1 at home)...The DAWG POUND DEF are poised to shock in 2008.)

[/QUOTE]Wow Lance, your team is STACKED!!!

Yes, I'd put your WRs against Rob's anyday.
2008- Didn't finish last overall in the Classic.
2009- Didn't finish last overall in the Classic or Primetime.

Lance....I do like your team alot. Solid from top to bottom....possibly the best at this point!

This however...is my year to knock you out of the playoffs.

The WR's went for CRAZY $$$, and that caused the RB's to be the value, like Greg said. I would have liked to have one more "profile WR", but my RB's are my strength, and as long as Derek Anderson is solid, I like my team to make the playoffs where ANYTHING can happen.

Here is my projected lineup for Week 1...

QB- Derek Anderson ($15)

RB- Frank Gore ($54)
Mo-Jo Drew ($33)

WR- Calvin Johnson ($27)
Marvin Harrison ($16)
Joey Galloway ($11)

TE- Vernon Davis ($5)

K- Nick Folk ($2)

D- Jacksonville ($2)

FL- Rudi Johnson ($18)

If Willie Parker and Maroney are better than last year, I think Lance may have the team to beat.

Injuries seem to be what could really hurt you, as your bench isn't the strongest.

Stay healthy though, and you are a LOCK for the playoffs! :D

BW, I don't see a WR1 on your team at this point. Maybe Calvin Johnson steps it up?!

If Harrison is even a shadow of his former self, and Galloway is Galloway (still the ONLY quality option in the passing game in TB), I will be OK.

Gore wasn't ANY part of my plan, but I will put my RB's up against anyone's (including Rudi).

Honestly was a crazy draft, with the WR's going so high.

Would everyone stop being so nice to Lance. He's going to get a complex!! :D Plus he isn't posting his bench. Anyone can buy the first 10 guys; those last eight for $8 are always tough!! :D
