I will not have time to go through this draft. Sorry, too much catching up to do before the draft frenzy.

I think I probably have a shot somewhere between 10-12th place unless Gore goes down and Coffee becomes a beast. I may have 3 too many Raiders.

If Marshall busts this year I will find the cellar.

Thanks for a fun draft and good luck to all of you this year in this league and beyond.

Good Luck to everyone,

John

A very slow 2009 draft

Post by Coltsfan » Sun Aug 30, 2009 6:07 am

It's fun going back through this draft and seeing how much has changed since last February. There are probably a few teams that might have a hard time competing due to bad breaks or changes in circumstances over the past 7 months but I"m going to take a stab at my favorites to win this league.

I would have to go with Jersy Yo as one of the favorites. His draft was just solid top to bottom. Outside of staying healthy (which applies to every team) I believe that his key is a good season from Shockey. He is weakest at TE and if Shockey comes through he has a very good chance of winning.

I also like Billy's team a lot. He is always very balanced and this team has no obvious holes. Very nice upside picks throughout. For Billy to win he needs Shonn Green to stay on the bench and somebody to step up at WR4 and put up decent numbers.

I don't normally mention my own teams when I give analysis but I believe this is definitely a team to beat. With SJax, Barber, Benson, Lewis, and Donald Brown at RB I should have very good RB production this year. The team doesn't have any glaring weaknesses but the key for my team would be for Benson and Lewis to keep their jobs.

There are a lot of other teams that I like almost as much and for the draft happening so early it's amazing how much balance there is.

And Rob, you don't have to worry about last - John already has a strong hold on that.

(just kiddding John.)

Wayne my team will finish in last place by 52 points out of 13 place.

Why don't we all just make this the bet? :D
By far my team is the worst.
