Even guys like Ladell Betts and Brian Leonard. They aren't $20 RB's, but they also aren't $1 RB's, which is what they sold for. Marc, I agree that the RBs went lower than expected yesterday, but the only way this changes on NFFC Auction Day is if the wide receivers and top QBs go cheaper. At the end of the day, even with 14 teams having $200 each, there's only so much money to go around. Yesterday, owners targeted WRs heavily and that trend could continue on Draft Day. If not, then the RBs will go for more money. Something has to give.

Okay, I'll gladly post my roster here today. I will agree with the others that if I could do it over.....yeah, I'd definitely do it differently.
I brought LT2 out immediately at $65 just to set the bar on the top RBs. With so many teams going RBBC, I expected Tomlinson to go for about $75. I pushed him to $70 and Johnny went $71 and I went $72, expecting more to come. It didn't happen. I wasn't unhappy, but for the next 50 minutes I was out of the game!!
The WRs just kept flying off the board after LT2 and I had to wait out a second RB and finally had no choice but to jump in for the wideouts. It was a wild auction. Last year I laid back and had a dominating team thanks to Adrian Peterson at $17, Brett Favre at $8, Chad Johnson at $33 and Brian Westbrook at $59. I don't see those same bargains on this year's team.
Anyway, here's my roster:
QB: Philip Rivers, $7
RB: LaDainian Tomlinson, $72
RB: Julius Jones, $20
WR: Roy Williams, $29
WR: Donald Driver, $19
WR: Chris Chambers, $14
FLEX: Fred Tayler, $16
TE: Jeremy Shockey, $7
K: Mason Crosby, $2
DEF: Chicago $2
Bench:
Shaun Alexander $2
Alex Smith, QB, $2
Nate Burleson, $4
Aaron Stecker, $1
Reggie Williams, $1
Roydell Williams, $1
Matt Ryan, $1
Darren Sproles, $1

Greg,
I like the potential value of Driver. And F. Taylor could be a bargain if he holds up for yet another year.

Can we set it up so your top 3 vs. my top 3?
Use total year end stats broken down into NFFC scoring points...most points combined wins.
Like every bet I make...you eat injuries. (No replacements...too bad.)
Let me know!

Sounds good Lance. Top 3 vs Top 3 - NFFC scoring.
Question: You said, "Use total year end stats broken down into NFFC scoring points...most points combined wins.", is that thru 16 or 17 weeks or thru the playoffs? Any way is fine with me.
My top 3 are Randy Moss, Welker and Bowe.
You only have 3
so I guess you will be using; Edwards, Chad Johnson and Holt?
100?

100?
Since the only relevance in high stakes fantasy football uses production through week 16, that would be best for this bet.
I'd prefer 200, but will let you call it.
Something to track...I've been getting smoked in side bets in the NFBC...time to reverse that trend!

It's a deal Lance.
16 weeks - Moss/Welker/Bowe vs Edwards/Chad/Holt
100
I paid 36/36/19 or $91 for my top 3. (45.5% of my salary cap)
You paid 38/25/31 or $94 for yours. (47% of yours)
Note: Winslow was a great buy at that time for your team. Your starters are rock solid and Russell may end up starting for you.
Good Luck

Good Luck Done deal Rob!
I'll cut and paste this into a PM so I don't lose track of it.

BW, I don't see a WR1 on your team at this point. Maybe Calvin Johnson steps it up?! ...was thinking the same thing here...SNAKE
Well, it is hard to leave an auction without a weakness somewhere.
As I told Russ, I think this is a playoff team based on the other team's I saw drafted.
BW, like I said, without seeing all of the teams, it's really unfair for anyone to render guesses as to who makes the playoffs.
I like the rest of your team, I just think you need CJ to step up big time. I'm going to let Marvin go by me several times tomorrow night.
All is fair as I'll post my Champions League team for all to see tomorrow night.
Marvin is DEFINITELY a wild card Russ, and I can't blame you one bit for passing on him tomorrow.
However for me today, I let all the other quality WR's go by, and took a $16 chance on a guy who two seasons ago was the best WR in NFFC scoring. In a standard draft, he would be tough to take, but again for $16, I think he is worth the risk.
Add that he is now getting into fistfights, and involved with firearms, and maybe he will be playing with a "chip" on his shoulder this year!
Who would have ever thought Marvin Harrison would be a "bad boy" ala T.O and Moss??
Good News, Billy!
If the cops are saying he's not even a suspect...there's a good chance your only worry will be his age and health coming into the season.
Anthony Gonzalez is a nice complementary wr...but Harrison should still have his timing and route running and chemistry with Peyton to keep his value solid every time he plays.

I wasn't really worried about any problems with the police, as Marvin has been a model citizen (at least what I know).
If Chris Henry was allowed to play "time after time", Marvin was going to be fine with the law.
Like you said, "Father Time" is the main thing which could hold him back, but he and Manning most likely still have that chemistry and I would think the safety might start rolling more towards Wayne from now on.
Of course this is my "the glass is half full" theory!![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
