2010 slow auction league..... starting May 7th? FULL!!

Post by Coltsfan » Thu Apr 01, 2010 1:11 am

Diesel,

I hope that the NFFC will host the league this year and handle the money. I did it last year and spent six months collecting and never was able to collect from one of the players. I really don't want to do that again this year.

The auction will be held on MFL using their slow auction system.

The prize breakdown last year was $125 for second and the rest for first.

Wayne, once you have 12 people signed up that you KNOW will pay, I will send you a check. Then, worst case is you send me my money back. I don't want to play if there is a single person not paid by draft day. I will play 12 or 14 team league, but if you have doubts about entry fees being sent out, I say not to run the league until you find 12-14 people you KNOW will pay.

In fact, you can use PayPal only, and there will be ZERO waiting time for payment. You want to play? Go to Wayne's paypal account and pay. Right there and then. You'll never hear, "the check is in the mail".

Guys, it won't be that hard. If we start May 7th, we can make payments due let's say 10 days before that. no exceptions. then we can find replacements...

i'm just guessing but by Greg's comments (or lack thereof) last year, he doesn't want anything to do with this league.

this won't be that hard guys.

Does MFL have a draftchampions option? I can only commit to that type of format.

Also the more I think about it, PayPal is the absolute best option. Once we're all signed up, Wayne can make a date where we all have to pay. All payments can be made within minutes. The entire league will be paid up and ready to go, all in the span of one day.

I'll browse the boards and see what happens here. Let's try and make this happen. I'm having a bit of nfl withdrawl.

yes this is draft champions.

also, if we paypal (and I think we should) make sure to use the PERSONAL, GIFT option so no fees are taken out.

This is definitely a draft champions. We will only use the mfl site for the draft and then all of the teams will have to be coded and manually entered into the stats site. We did that last year and it was a few hours worth of work but not too big of a project.

I will ask Greg to collect the money this year if at all possible. I'll email him once the baseball is up and running but if not I can hold it or if someone else wants to that is fine also.

Wayne,

Read your post above about going to Reynolds Plantation for golfing with your buddies, I have heard it's beautiful & awesome but after returning I would like to hear or read here about your experience there. Here in the Carolina's, golfing is a mainstay. So many great courses here from the mountains to the beaches & of course the weather is great also to match the courses- like today is Carolina Blue & 80 degrees. Hope you have an awesome time at Reynolds, I know you will!
