I'm only 19 but ive been playing fantasy football at a competitive level for 10 years now. It is my favorite thing to be involved with and am really interested in getting a job or starting a magazine in the fantasy football area. I'm wondering if you guys have job openings or if you have any ideas for me getting started in the business that i love.

Thanks

You started playing competitive fantasy football at 9? Wow. As far as job openings, we don't have any positions available in our company at this time, but if you wanted to pursue free-lance opportunities, you can always get in touch with Greg or myself and we can talk more. Speaking for myself, what I would suggest having are some stories you've written that you could send to a prospective employer so they have an idea of how good your writing is and the type of stories you can come up with. That will help faciliate the process.

Good luck.

yeah i started early, and have actually ran my own league for 7 years now, i am really thinking about starting a fantasy football magazine for next year and try to sell it in my area. do you think this would be a good idea and if so do you know of any good printing services that i could get to print a good number of magazines for me. i was also wondering if you know how the whole distribution process works, and how i could get in touch with someone that distributes magazines.

thanks

There's a lot involved with the magazine publishing process. Since there are a lot of details involved, it's probably best not to deal with everything in this forum. If you want to get in touch with Greg or myself feel free to do so and we'll try to answer your questions as best we can.

And here I thought I was the one who spent too much time out in the sun last week, Gordon. :D

I was only down a little bit before my last night there, but I dropped $100 on the blackjack table, so it ended up being a little worse than it could've been. Needless to say, I didn't hit the big jackpot that would've enabled me to retire with plenty of gorgeous women at my side for all eternity.

I really was out in the sun too long last week. :D

Lord knows that I'm no writer. But I'd advise going back to school and learning how to write.
If you want to write for a living it helps to learn the basics.

Thanks Punctuation, grammar, sentence structure and word selection really do count.

Your goal is realistic and you should certainly work towards achieving it. Going to college and majoring in journalism or a related discipline will get you the tools that you need.
