Million Dollar League?
Million Dollar League?
Greg , do u know anything about the PayDaySports , million dollar league in Atlantic City? SEPT 11th. One would think a 3,600 $ entrance fee would be much harder to fill than 1,250$ So if we arent close to being full , i am wondering if this league will even happen . Any insight into this, as i am considering entering?

Mike, we don't have an official count for the PayDaySports event, so it's hard to tell where they're at in terms of sign-ups. We do know their message boards are essentially barren (I believe they have just one post there).

They're a joke. There are 2 or 3 other big money contests who are going to take a beating this fall, most will fold. This one won't. Get on board - and bring a friend

I second that. The NFFC will have the best "pot odds" by far.

Is my "weekend warrior" prep better than your prep?

I am already onboard with the NFFC, just checking additional options.

Mike, I wish I could honestly help you out here, but I'm not familiar with the guys running that league and they just added the Message Boards, so there's no communication about number of teams or anything else. I do know the guys at All-Star Stats, who are running this game for Payday Sports, and I trust in them. But I'll take the high road here and just say that it seems like our market is having trouble absorbing all of these high-stakes games and one at that price level in just one city could have a tough time reaching $1.6 million in revenue. Other than that, I know nothing.

This is unrelated to Mike's post because it's not happening with the Payday Sports game. But if you go to another high-stakes site that is drafting the same day as the NFFC in Las Vegas, you'll see that they just proposed adding an Internet draft to their high-stakes live draft to get more participants into their game. The catch? The Internet draft would be FOUR DAYS after the live draft!!!
I just bring that up not to diss another site, but to just let people know that this is a tough market right now and you have to trust the people you are giving your hard-earned money to. Make sure you do your homework with every contest you're interested in, talk to the people in charge and look at the fine print in the rules.

Okay, I stand corrected. Now the online contest is three days before the live draft. Again, I'm not dissing this other contest, just replying to Mike to tell him to check out every contest and make sure you know the guys running each one because some contests have been forced to make adjustments on the fly. It's just the way it is right now.

Hey Greg no need to apologize to any of us..fact is fact..and sometimes the truth hurts...as many of us who have already jumped on board for the NFFC.... we did the research and hands down the NFFC is where it's at...as you can see with all the message board posts by everyone...everyone is hyped and ready for the NFFC in September in ALL THREE REGIONS...unlike some other high stake fantasy championships....

Get this -- I went "undercover" on the Paydaysports forum and asked about the claim that there are 400 people signed up. I asked, "Is signed up and paid the same? The number of paid entries is more important." I checked the box to update me if anyone replied. I got the e-mail, went to the site and saw that the post was deleted!
Now I don't know Greg and Tom well, but just from their participation on these boards, I can tell that something like that would never happen.
