JB - I understand your view of my $999 bid and how it left me short of $$$ to bid later. However, my fear was that even a bid of $993 could not guarantee me a chance to get Gordon. In fact, I was a bit concerned that even $999 might not do the job. Had I been in the Chicago league where he went for $1000 I would have been correct. Gordon also went for $996 in another NY League from what I see on the message boards. That's 2 leagues where a $993 bid would have been short. Three if you count my league.

As for available QB's, yea, Boller and Fiedler were available on the waiver wire. But, if I lose my 2 starters I doubt they would be the answer to my problems.

Only time will tell if I was smart and or got lucky, or if I was stupid. I have a pretty good track record playing these games so I'm thinking it will turn out to be the former. But, who knows. That's why they play the games.

TOTALLY OFF-TOPIC WARNING: I think Martha's biggest sin was pride, not greed. How many of us would not have made the trade that she did? When your broker strongly tells you that you should sell a stock and you know he has good info, you sell the stock.

Her problem, and what in the end is what sent her to jail, was being too proud to fess up and take what would likely have been a very small fine and some harsh words from a judge.

GO Dawg

I got him for 995 (you would have lost him at 993 in my league too)

This week he plays as my Flex instead of R Wayne.

I my matchup had got him he would be playing for Caldwell Reche.

Do I want Gordon vs Reche or

Wayne vs Gordon

Worth every penny (although it's nice to have 4 bucks left)

Just a thought ... If you have 7 starting RB/REC ... hence 7 bye weeks ... would Gordon play over your best player on the bench? Look at the teams your playing ... would he play for them?

I bet the answer is yes to both questions.

Finally ... how much did you improve your starting team this week?

Do you really think there will be a flood of good players in the next few weeks?

Just to be clear - the reason Martha Stewart is in jail is because she's a former stockbroker who was clearly held to a higher standard than most 'regular' investors.

ReShard Lee? Dallas starting RB?

LOL

I hate it when the 'fantasy' overwhelms the football in this game ;)

My friend knows my brother who knows me. This makes me nervous that I spent $747 on Hedley Lamar.

You spend over $990 for two weeks, this week at Cincinnati and Week 9 at Arizona. Other than those two, I see Gordon owners playing WR's at the flex because he will either be injured or ineffective. Just look at the schedule. Has to be a reason why ProForecast had Miami with the 2nd toughest run schedule this year. I'm saving my money for Week 8 when Denver signs Stacey Mack after all of their backs go down for the year. :D
