Greg and Tom...

I still can't believe that other league had you guys change the name "DraftMasters" to "DraftChampions" because they said that they had the rights to the name. The next thing you know, Macintosh will be suing Granny Smith over the rights to use the word Apple...
Seriously... Greg and Tom, the Draft"Champions" league that split between New York and Chicago went well. The draft went smoothly and it is exciting to see different players carry your team throughout the year, not worrying about who to start and who to bench...
Out of the 3 leagues, however, the DraftChampions message post was nearly vacant, while the NFFC, and Auction message posts were alive and smack talking...I think it might have had to do with the conference call between New York and Chicago. The facilitator heard everything going on in Chicago, but the rest of us in New York only heard 2nd hand what was going on there, and vice versa for the guys in Chicago.
If there were a way to conference in through speaker phone, then everyone in both cities could feel as though we are all drafting in the same room. The facilitator did a great job, but the atmosphere would be better if both cities were heard by everyone. Then the owners will get to know each other a little more and keep those posts active. I also think New York against Chicago is a great rivalry for this league, and I wouldn't mind doing it again next year.
Being in all 3 drafts, I'd have to say that the Draft Champions and Auctions are much more like a private high stakes poker game because all emphasis is solely on your draft table, and nothing else. (The movable walls being closed for each table next year would definitely help that for the NFFC.)
Sorry for the whole writeup on this, but I always feel if your going to bitch about something, at least have a possible solution for it.
Thanks,
Marc Quitsch
