Steve Mariucci made a point of saying that RB Kevin Jones (Det) will not be getting all the carries. He'll be sharing time with RB Artose Pinner and RB Shawn Bryson. He said he wants to keep Jones fresh for later in the season.
RBs Cadillac Williams (TB) and Michael Pittman are expected to share the backfield for much of Sunday's season opener. "Both us are going to be on the field at the same time, with me playing fullback, and tailback and receiver and tight end," Pittman said.
enjoy!

Gordon, you need the St. Petersburg Times telling you that Pittman is gonna be sharing time with Caddy? (I Live in Tampa and there was a big article on Pittman today) Pittman will be utilized as a WR this year as the Bucs are lacking in that dept. Once Galloway and Hilliard are injured, Pittman becomes the 2nd WR for the Bucs, plus he will get those rushhing yards as well. I actually missed out on Pittman in the 9th by one pick and got a little upset. Oh mighty one, wait and see..those who own Pittman should enjoy their steal. Maybe I should start a "I Like to ram my wife's car club!" Or "My arms aren't big enough club!"

every year media outlets get soundbites from coaches or teams about how players will or will not be used... half the time it is just posing and gamesmanship...

I liked this one, it means Mike Anderson will be a top 5 RB this year...
The News
Broncos offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak has coached John Elway, Jerry Rice, and Terrell Davis, but he says that starting tailback Mike Anderson had the strongest training camp he has seen over the course of his entire coaching career. "He was on a mission," Kubiak told the Denver Post. "He was so on every day."

Dallas Cowboys "RC" Patrick Crayton had a pretty good pre-season this year. Some are even calling him the next Hines Ward. Hmmmm.

Just read this, pretty interesting after the fact. Pittman had zero carries. Jones had 25 of 28 carries. the lesson as always: drawing conclusions from coaches press conferences is pretty worthless

Does Gekko ever post negative comments about HIS players? Like Kevan Barlow who probably won't make it 2 more games without having to split (or even get less) carries than Frank Gore?
