Greg & Tom: While we are toasting the winners, congrats to all, curious as to whether it is too early to know what date next seasons NFFC Main Event will be? Are you staying with the same format of one week prior to the NFL season? (Hopefully) Gotta put those 2007 vacation requests in with my job earlier than most.

We are definitely Aug. 31-Sept. 2, 2007 in four different cities. We are at the Flamingo in Las Vegas for baseball and football in 2007 and we are at the New York Hilton for football, Oakbrook Marriott in Chicago and Tampa Convention Center. The auction leagues are set for Friday, Aug. 31, the main event for Saturday, Sept. 1 and the Ultimate Leagues for Sunday, Sept. 2. Should be fun.

I will post all the rules, entry fees, prizes, etc., early next week and begin taking signups at that time. I just have to wrap up our first baseball magazine right now and then we'll get it done. I think 2007 will be a historic year for the NFFC. Thanks Ken and we'll see ya somewhere in 2007.

So you are saying Tampa is a done deal for football?

I really think you could have pulled way better in South Florida. I'd rather hop a flight to Vegas than drive to Tampa which is exactly what Im doing.

There is no hsortgage of hotel rooms/covention space if thats what you were worried about. Being a true diehard and knowing the scene down here, I could have personally guaranteed you 8-10 leagues.


As far as finding space down here for the draft, there is definitely no shortage of hotels/rooms. I hope that Tampa fills up for you guys, however being a diehard, and knowing what goes on down here, I think you guys should have picked the best market not the market where you have a good deal on convention space. Just my 2 cents for what its worth.

How bout meeting the FI$HER crew in Vegas snake. We just booked the bellagio Penthouse suite with a small portion of our winnings.

I really thought that Mia or FLL was a contender for the draft and would ave loved to bring some of the local talent on board who can't get away from the wives and kids on a holiday weekend. My wife gets 25% of my fantasy football and gambling winnings so when its all said and done she is usually a happy woman come seasons end.

And on a sidenote, FI$HER will be rolling his snake winnings into next years classic if that's ok with the serpeant.

Thanks again for a great season Edward Killmer is already guaranteeing me 8-10 leagues in Tampa, so your guarantee was a wash! Honestly, if die-hard fantasy players can't make the trek to northern Florida or southern Florida or to one of our other venues, then it's tough for me to judge where the best spots are. I'm trying to fill a void in the south and see if we can grow this event in four regions of the country, not just four cities of the country. I may be wrong, but hopefully just going to Florida will help the NFFC grow in 2007.

I appreciate your thoughts and maybe some of your buds will still find Tampa appealing. But I'm more concerned about drawing from northern Florida, Atlanta, Louisiana and maybe even Texas as Tampa is an easy flight for a lot of folks. Again, I'll be happy to switch in 2008 if another city is proven to be a better spot. Personally, as I've said before, I would have chosen New Orleans first and maybe Dallas next, but this is a good stepping stone.

I knew I could count on you for a quick reply! It will be Las Vegas. The wife and kids had such a good time last year with my Diseneyland & NFFC Vegas daily double they have pushed me to lock in a longer stay in 2007. They didn't have to twist my arm. Cya in March.
